We spent an unforgettable week in this fantastic Villa in mid July. The house is spacious, clean, equipped with all you need and has a special charm to it - it felt very homey and comfortable. The views from the house and the few terraces it offers are simply amazing. The pool is great, has a good size and the views it holds are unbeatable. The location is great, the town of St. Cezaire is beautiful, slightly away from the main tourist tracks which gives it this special, authentic feel. We simply enjoyed everything about this place. There are great walking routes possibilities, e.g. down to the valley and the river Siagne and the Pont des Tuves, which was extremely pretty. Communication with our hosts was top notch. We received many good tips, information about the local attractions, things to see and visit - everything worked perfectly. We're definitely looking forward to getting back and would highly recommend the property to anyone, whether you're a couple or a family with kids.
La Cascade is a comfortable and well equipped house, ideal for two couples, with good bedrooms and bathrooms. It has a good kitchen, a large dining room and a cosy sitting room.
It is situated in a pleasant village in the hills, well away from the crowded coast. The house itself is surrounded by a multitude of terraced gardens leading down to a stream, with nice views, lots of interest and many places for relaxing.
A car is essential, however, and there is no on-the-premises parking, though public parking spaces are available nearby. The house is accessed via a steep and twisting flight of steps through a gate off the main road, making it a poor choice for anyone with mobility issues. Note also that there are only limited facilities in the village and, because of the stream, mosquitoes can be a problem.
All in all, though, we enjoyed our stay at La Cascade. We have stayed in many gites across the whole of France and this was one of the nicer ones.
The apartment was perfect for our needs, and it had a great terrace with a view of the mountains. The apartment was clean and had enough space for 4 adults.
The owner was very helpful, which helped us really enjoy our holiday there. All essential cooking and cleaning equipment was supplied, making it a convenient place to stay.
I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the area.
For anyone searching for a great holiday villa, my wife and I are very pleased to recommend this place, we booked 5 nights with our 8-month-old but ended up staying for 7. We found the villa to be very comfortable, and our hosts Francois and Monique very accommodating. It's nearly new, self contained and has modern furnishings. It's bright and airy and quite private. The balcony has excellent views over the valley to the sunset and pool below. It's a comfortable 10 mins drive from la napoule marina, very well located for day trips to Nice, Antibes, Cannes, St. Tropez and the Esterel National Park area.
Francois's good English and great local knowledge helped us discover some very scenic villages nearby including Monteraux, Callian and Saint Czeare-sur-Siagne.
There's a baby cot and tub for baby and many English cable tv channels.

I stayed in this apartment for sixteen days with my husband and 16 yr old daughter and it was absolutely idyllic. We arrived late on a Friday night, hot and thirsty with no chance to stop on the way to pick up food or even a bottle of water. Francois and his lovely wife met us, showed us around, opened the fridge to reveal water, orange juice, Rose, and a couple of beers. There was even coffee for the morning! This was so appreciated.
This apartment is out in the sticks....you do need a car. It is very mountainous and has the most amazing hairpin bends. Having nearly died from fright the first day or so, I became completely blase about falling off the side of the mountain. Having said this apartment is out in the sticks....it is out in the sticks with the best of them and it is not too far out. Pierre Cardin has a villa in the l'Esterelle. It is very exclusive.
The other great thing is that you are only literally ten miniutes drive from anywhere. You can get to the beaches, the supermarket and Cannes within 10 or so minutes. This is a great place for hikers...we did Mt. Vinaigre and there are lots of other great walks around.
Francois was a perfect host, he loaned us books and gave us tips on where to go.
We also adored the swimming pool.. We have come back to a heatwave in Ireland and we are missing that pool.

Very warm welcome from the owners. Clean accommodation corresponding to the description. Very bright due to its openings and pleasant balconies on 3 different orientations. Nothing is missing in the equipment. Residence easy to find and quiet. No passage road at the foot of the building!! Everything is there in small and large appliances. Very popular parking, bicycle storage, close to the beach (200m max) All shops a few meters away. You can do almost everything without a car. Small nearby Carnolès train station which provides access to Nice, Menton Cannes and Ventimiglia We were very fortunate to have splendid weather to see the superb lemon festival and the Nice carnival. We will gladly come back
Très bon accueil des propriétaires. Logement propre correspondant au descriptif. Très lumineux de par ses ouvertures et agréables balcons sur 3 orientations différentes. Il ne manque rien dans les équipements. Résidence facile à trouver et au calme. Pas de route de passage au pied de l'immeuble!!
Tout y est en petits et gros électroménagers. Parking très apprécié, local à vélos, proche de la plage (200m max) Tous commerces à quelques mètres. Vous pouvez tout faire sans voiture pratiquement. Petite gare de Carnolès toute proche qui permet de se rendre à Nice, Menton Cannes et Vintimille
Nous avons eu la grande chance d'un temps splendide pour voir la superbe fête des citrons et le carnaval de Nice. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir

Alright ! The apartment is even better than in the pictures! A magnificent view of Port Vauban, in a fully secure residence (completely closed, with video protection), a large swimming pool, fully functional apartment, nothing to complain about. And everything went very well for the keys. THANKS.

We had a wonderful week. The apartment is comfortable, well equipped and the swimming pool is a real plus with its outdoor kitchen and barbecue. The reception is perfect, we received the necessary information and were welcomed for the transfer of the keys at the agreed time. Thank you again, we will be back!

Host: François and his wife have done a lot to ensure that we have a good time on their property. You weren't there for the first 1 1/2 weeks, but made sure that all our questions were answered and that we could feel comfortable. Thank you for that.
Furnishing: The equipment is functional and suitable and we didn't miss anything. The bathroom is a bit lacking in storage space (shelf space, although there is space for it), but that wasn't too bad. In the spacious pool area, which is about 1 1/2 levels below the apartment (access via garden or forest path), you will also find a small pool kitchen with fridge/freezer, sink, dresser and gas grill. For us, this was the real highlight of the facility, in addition to the many seating and lounger options with lots of shade or sun.
Cleanliness: We found a clean and tidy accommodation area. The pool was also clean and equipped with a salt water cleaning system. That was great. No chlorine that burns your eyes.
Comfort: You are allowed inDon't expect pure luxury from this accommodation compared to all the other villas in the drive-through protected park (it's actually a closed mountain with a forest and countless and spacious properties). The large, deep pool with Roman steps is pure luxury.
Price-performance ratio: Appropriate in our eyes. Surprisingly, the cost of living on the Côte d'Azur was not as high as expected. Compared to the prices in Germany that rose in summer 2023, it felt even cheaper.
Location: As mentioned above, the accommodation is part of a complex with many interesting villas in the Esterel mountains. The landlord's house and the holiday accommodation (structurally linked, but built separately so that you don't hear much from each other) are located on a very large sloping site with lots of greenery and trees. Access is via a paved road. However, you have to go uphill through the park and then downhill again, around almost half the mountain, to get to the separate accommodation entrancecome with a shady parking lot (another driveway about 200 m from the accommodation is closed and probably only accessible to the fire brigade). Depending on which direction you want to go, Fréjus or Cannes, a bit cumbersome. The next larger supermarket is about 20 minutes away by car. There are also restaurants about a 14-minute drive away.
What we particularly liked: The large, clean pool and lots of greenery around it. The peace and seclusion away from the hustle and bustle of tourism were very relaxing for us. Also the possibility that in a relatively short time all known places of the French. Riviera (Cannes, Nice, Monaco, Fréjus or St. Tropez).
What we didn't like: If you want to complain at a high level - the "long" driveway in the area. We are undecided as to whether the engine noise that disturbed the peace on the mountain bikes or whether it is part of the special flair of the area.
Conclusion: Although we actually never (want to) come to a vacation spot twice, this accommodation, the host and the environment have what it takes to deviate from this principle and we domake yourself comfortable here again in the years to come. In any case, the holiday time spent here will stay in our memories for a very long time...

François und seine Frau haben viel dafür getan, dass es uns in der Zeit auf Ihrem Grundstück gut ergangen ist. Die ersten 1 1/2 Wochen waren Sie nicht selbst vor Ort, hatten aber dafür gesorgt, dass all unsere Fragen beantwortet wurden und wir uns wohl fühlen konnten. Vielen Dank dafür.
Ausstattung:
Die Ausstattung ist zweckmäßig sowie passend und wir haben nichts vermisst. Im Bad fehlen zwar ein wenig die Abstellmöglichkeiten (Regalfläche, obwohl Möglichkeiten dafür bestehen), aber das war nicht weiter tragisch. Im großzügig angelegten Poolbereich, der sich ca. 1 1/2 Ebenen unterhalb der Ferienwohnung befindet (Zugang über Garten- bzw. Waldweg), findet man zusätzlich auch noch mal eine kleine Poolküche mit Kühl-/Gefrierschrank, Waschbecken, Anrichte und Gasgrill. Dies war für uns neben den vielen Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten mit viel Schatten- oder Sonnenbereich das eigentliche Highlight der Anlage.
Sauberkeit:
Wir fanden einen sauberen und gepflegten Unterkunftsbereich vor. Der Pool war ebenso sauber und mit Salzwasserreinigungsanlage ausgestattet. Das war super. Kein Chlor das in den Augen brennt.
Komfort:
Man darf in dieser Unterkunft keinen puren Luxus im Vergleich zu den ganzen weiteren Villen in der durchfahrtsgeschützten Parkanlage (eigentlich ist es ein abgesperrter Berg mit Wald und unzähligen und großzügig ausgelegten Anwesen) erwarten. Der große, tiefe und mit römischer Treppe ausgestattete Pool ist dann aber doch wieder Luxus pur.
Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis:
In unseren Augen angemessen. Erstaunlicherweise waren die Lebensunterhaltskosten an der Côte d'Azur dann doch nicht so hoch wie gedacht. Im Vergleich zu den im Sommer 2023 angezogenen Preisen in Deutschland dann sogar gefühlt noch günstiger.
Lage:
Wie oben bereits erwähnt, befindet sich die Unterkunft in einer Anlage mit vielen interessanten Villen im Esterel-Gebirge. Das Haus des Vermieters und die Ferienunterkunft (baulich miteinander verknüpft, aber doch separat aufgebaut, so dass man nicht viel voneinander mitbekommt) befinden Sie auf einem sehr großen abschüssigen Gelände mit viel Grün und Bäumen. Die Zufahrt erfolgt über eine geteerte Straße. Allerdings muss man durch die Parkanlage erst bergauf und dann wieder bergab um fast den halben Berg herumfahren, um auf den separaten Unterkunftseingang mit schattigem Parkplatz zu kommen (eine weiter Zufahrt ca. 200 m von der Unterkunft entfernt ist gesperrt und wohl nur für Feuerwehr befahrbar). Je nachdem in welche Richtung man fahren will, Fréjus oder Cannes, etwas umständlich. Der nächste größere Einkaufsmarkt ist ca. 20 min Fahrtzeit entfernt. Restaurants gibt es auch in ca. 14 min Fahrzeit entfernt.
Was hat uns besonders gefallen:
Der große saubere Pool und das viele Grün drumherum. Die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit abseits des Tourismustrubels waren für uns sehr erholsam. Auch die Möglichkeit, dass man in relativer kurzer Zeit alle bekannten Ortschaften der franz. Riviera (Cannes, Nizza, Monaco, Fréjus oder St. Tropez) erreichen kann.
Was hat uns nicht gefallen:
Wenn man auf hohem Niveau jammern will - die „lange“ Zufahrt in der Anlage. Unschlüssig sind wir darin, ob der Motorenlärm, der am bergfahrenden Motorräder die Ruhe gestört hat oder zum besonderen Flair der Umgebung dazugehört.
Fazit:
Obwohl wir eigentlich nie an einen Ferienort zweimal kommen (wollen), hat diese Unterkunft, der Gastgeber und die Umgebung das Zeug dazu, dass wir von diesem Grundsatz abweichen und wir es uns in den kommenden Jahren hier nochmal gemütlich machen. Die verbrachte Urlaubszeit bleibt uns hier jedenfalls sehr lange positiv in Erinnerung…
Beautiful house with large well-kept outdoor spaces, beautiful and large swimming pool, magnificent view, silence and tranquility. We took advantage of the outdoor table every evening to dine to the sound of the cicadas in total peace and with a beautiful view, sometimes having a pleasant barbecue. The house has everything needed for several families with children to live comfortably. Very large and beautiful interior. We really enjoyed this relaxing week. Every day they came to clean the pool. Highly recommended house.
Bellissima casa con ampi spazi esterni ben curati, bellissima ed ampia piscina, vista magnifica, silenzio e tranquillità.
Abbiamo sfruttato tutte le sere il tavolo esterno per cenare al suono delle cicale in una pace totale e con una bellissima vista, a volte facendo un piacevole barbecue.
La casa ha tutto il necessario per vivere comodamente più famiglie con bambini. Interni molto ampi e belli.
Ci siamo proprio goduti questa settimana di relax.
Tutti i giorni venivano a pulire la piscina.
