Just a few minutes away is Camaiore, memorable for its historic center and romanesque church. Viareggio, a famous seaside resort, made famous for its carnival and floats of "papier mache". Torre del Lago Puccini, a town that takes its name from the composer, every summer, pays homage to its master by hosting the Puccini festival with an outdoor theater overlooking Lake Massaciuccoli, performs works of the composer. Pietrasanta, also called "little Athens" is a city of art with its fortress, historic, craft shops, museums of great sculptors and the local restaurants that overlook the streets of the historic center.
