We have been coming to Wimereux for many years and book the apartment regularly. We are very satisfied with the accommodation and the friendly service.
We had a great weekend in this villa. Enough space for the 9 of us, good equipment in the kitchen, 2 bathrooms and the location is superb. Contact with owners very good! We loved our stay here!
We have been coming here every summer for over 10 years. It is a homely apartment, lovely owners and friendly neighbours, with stunning views from the big balcony over the sea. The apartment (first floor) is not fully modernised, it is full of character and that is why we enjoy it so much. It is very well equipped, especially the large kitchen.
The property has off street parking, and is a 2 minute walk from the market place and all the town's shops, restaurants and other amenities.
We rented it for one week at the beginning of August. The owners paid a particular attention to hygiene due to covid19m which is really appreciated. We were two families with in total 3 children and another family would easily fit the house.
The house was very spacious, very bright and modernly designed. Everything has been thought to make the families with children comfortable. It is close to sea-side 5-10 min; and a super market 10-15 min walking. There are couple of places to eat around and a close by patisserie. The city is very quite and nice and gives you the feeling of a relaxing family holiday atmosphere. It is easy to go to next village, which has more restaurants, by bike or walking.
Owners were very helpful and nice with everything we asked before and at the arrival. They provided a lot of useful info on what to do where in and around Ambleteuse. We also had a very good and positive exchange at our departure and smooth processing of all payments and other arrangements.
I would highly recommend this place.
We had a very pleasant holiday in this fine gite. It has all facilities and a woodstove wich was very nice in March. Not expensive and near the center of Wissant and near the beach and the beautiful backland where you can spot deers, hares and pheasants. We are defenitly coming back here.
Dominique and Sylviane were wonderful hosts and made our stay in Le Bois Dormant comfortable, relaxed and very enjoyable. The Mobile Home was well-appointed in a quiet "cul de sac" in the centre of the campsite surrounded by lovely pine trees. We have 3 teenagers and the rooms were compact (as is to be expected in a typical campsite cabin) but with good storage space design for clothes and other items.
The home was very well-equipped - a comfortable living area with sofa, table and chairs and TV. The kitchen equipment included good appliances: oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer and a great selection of crockery and utensils, as well as copious pots and pans. Outside the cabin there was a raised decked area with table and chairs - we ate outside every evening enjoying the sound of the cicadas and the sea. The campsite is well-situated from the A16 autoroute and just over an hour’s drive from Calais. It’s a 10 min cycle ride to Quend Plage (a beautiful sandy beach) and there are cycle paths which we used daily. For families with younger children the pool and water slides are great fun and we enjoyed the onsite bar listening to a Johnny Hallyday tribute act whilst sipping a Kir Royale on our first evening. Our teenagers made the most of the on-site gym and local tennis court. The Baie de Somme area is a picturesque part of northern France and there are lots of lovely towns and a beautiful nature reserve. Our hosts were delightful and we both got by conversationally when they showed us the home on our arrival and when they came to say goodbye - our joint limited French and English was helped by Google Translate!
A hearty recommendation for those who don’t want to spend hours driving to arrive somewhere more southern regionally, and if you want something more sturdy than canvas to sleep under and with all modern domestic amenities (incl. an onsite shop) . A wonderful holiday home - thank you Dominique and Sylviane.

we rent this house for one week in april. 2 adults and 3 children.
it was comfortable and cosy and very close to the beach.The contact with the owner was plesant and clear. Wissant was very quiet becose of the season but that is what we like. we also loved de beautiful surroundings.
A wonderful apartment in a perfect location: unblocked views over the sand dunes and a 10 minutes walk to the best baker in town or the main shopping area.
The landlord is very attentive and responsive. We felt looked after while privacy has been given.
The apartment itself is fully equipped to a high standard.
Excellent position for the beach and the town . A really good venue for children. Well equipped and very comfortable. Would recommend it for a true beach holiday. It also had a good garden for the children to play in. Overall a very good holiday home.
The apartment was very very nice, comfortable, with everything we needed & more. Apartment is really close to the sea, which was excellent for us, my wife being disabled, also being on the ground floor was great..
The owners were very nice, making sure we had everything we needed, all in all a great week was spent in Bray Dunes, we will go there again
Gorgeous cottage- much bigger than it seems-3 good sized bedrooms, huge bathroom, 2 living areas, downstairs shower & loo.... great kitchen & super sheltered outside space.
We know the area well- so just spent our week walking .... the car did not move at all.
The seafood of the area is outstanding and great value... the steam train to St Valerie is a must- get the 11am, have another lovely lunch there and catch the train back- a simple but great day out.
The beach is sandy and clean- huge tidal flow... amazing sunsets
The shopping in Le Crotoy is more than adequate- a good Carrefour and some local speciality shops... and a good market too.
We had a super week ... really relaxing- a total step back to simple stuff.
The lack of internet and reliable phone signal was a bit of annoyance- but only because my husband needed to keep in touch with work... but it didnt bother me or the kids too much.
Martine was very friendly with good communications, she met us at the house at the start and end of our break - made everything so easy

This is a small, bright and clean apartment with lovely terrace overlooking the Somme Bay. It is in a residential area about 20 mins from le Crotoy centre and we didn't find any local shops - best to shop in advance.
I think 4 persons (2 would sleep on sofa bed in main room) would find the space tight. The toilet is on the floor below the large bathroom which is a little inconvenient, particularly negotiating the stairs at night.
I would suggest that the owners should consider upgrading the crockery and cooking utensils which would give a higher rating. Most people choose self catering because they want the flexibility of cooking for themselves rather than using restaurants all the time.
French owned, this is possibly more geared to French holidaymakers. For us, it was an easy drive from Calais and we found some excellent restaurants in the area. The owners were very helpful.
Best apartment we have had in France, position was great right on the promenade and beach just so relaxing to sit on the patio and watch the world go by. The whole apartment was equipped to a high standard, kitchen had all mod cons, comfortable large bed, good power shower and great living /dining area. The communication with Monsieur Cornet was good and the lady who met us with the keys was very helpful. We had great weather all week and the town of Wissant was delightful so unspoiled and typically French, just loved it.
We had a wonderful week in Hardelot. The house was perfect, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The weather was sunny and we loved the fact we could walk to the huge beach from the back gate. The area was great for us, we cycled everyday on the long cycle ways and the quiet back lanes.
All in all a perfect holiday !
Nice house in the middle of nowhere but at 5 min from the beach or shopping malls!
The house has everything you need with quality beds, clean bathrooms and a well equipt kitchen!
