Very well equipped apartment in a prime location with a great view.
The apartment was clean (we only had to wash some dishes that were not perfectly cleaned in the dish washer). The landlord was extremely friendly and answered all inquiries immediately. We were very happy with this apartment.
Our stay at this lovely Barfleur home was perfect for us! There was plenty of room for our family of seven to sleep comfortably. The home was very clean and well stocked with all the supplies that we needed, and was situated across from the beautiful harbour and just down the street from the town, which had several wonderful restaurants and shops. Valerie was extremely helpful in setting up our stay and making sure that we were greeted upon arrival on our first day. The best part for us was the serenity of the location! Our stay was quiet and peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the city life that we normally live. We enjoyed putting together a jigsaw puzzle, walking along the harbour, and eating in the local restaurants, which were delicious. The home was absolutely charming and impeccably kept up. We will definitely stay there again when we return to France. The only issue for us was the distance from the American Cemetery in Colville-Sur-Mer. We were not prepared for the long drive, but at this time of year, it’s difficult to find any accommodations in Normandy so we were grateful to have a place to stay which was able to accommodate our large family. Having found Barfleur, we now see it’s charm and would definitely stay there again. One other note: this property is not set up for anyone with disabilities other than on the first floor. There is a bedroom on the first floor and a bathroom on the first floor but otherwise all of the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the second and third floors with no lift. My wife and I have stayed in many rented homes in France over 30 years. This property was exceptionally well appointed and completely lived up to its promises on the web site; views and equipment were excellent. It was modern and very tasteful. Communication with the owner in Paris for one piece of advice was executed in English with a perfect outcome.
It is very suitable for any one with mobility problems as on the ground floor there is a shower and toilet; but five steps from street level would make a wheelchair difficult.
It is windy but we expected that on the cliff. The wind was warm !!
All in all very worthwhile.
The Sunset Chalet was simply espectacular! Everything was new and placed with incredible care, even the tiniest detail. The rooms were very comfortable, specially the main one, with a state of the art bathroom. I barely have words to appreciate the warm welcome and support from Eliane and Francis, who where there to make our life absolutely comfortable during our stay. And there is no doubt of the reason of the name of the Chalet. You can enjoy an incredible view of the sunset from its wonderful garden!

When we arrived the owners were there. They told us all about the house (about technical matters and where things that were) and they are very friendly. There was cider and cookies as a welcome!
Everything you need or what you think you need 😏 was in and around the house!
Very clean, very nicely decorated and for the parents had their en suite bedroom with their own bathroom.
All the beds were made-up, and there are towels. And you can wash the towels and your own clothes and dry them in the dryer.
So you can go back home with clean clothes, etc.
It's quiet and so very good to relax.
The sea is near the house (we can get there by car in 5 min) with very nice rocks.
It rained quite often so we could only sit outside for 1 day .....it's very nice and has a big garden and a bbq and sun loungers .
Maybe we'll come back another year....
We really had a very nice holiday. The house is perfect and the view is superb. We can recommend this house and place to anyone. The landlord is a man of his word.
We had a lovely stay in this apartment, which exceeded all our expectations. It is an upper ground floor, so not many steps to the front door.
The location is perfect, close to the beach and to the town. The tram stops really close by and there is free parking in the beachfront car park nearby.
The apartment is well appointed. The living room is spacious and there is a nice view of the sea. Our bedroom, at the back of the building was quiet.
There is a selection of books and CDs in the flat which we enjoyed. We didn't watch TV, but its there if you need it. The kitchen has everything you might need.
There are deckchairs if you want to sunbathe. There's a flat roof that can be accessed from the childrens bedroom, but the garden is not accessible. However; even without this short-cut, the route to the beach is quick.
The owners were efficient and helpful during the booking process and refunded our deposit very quickly at the end of the stay. We were met by the cleaner, who was very helpful and showed us around.
Le Havre is a lovely city. The world heritage area is very interesting and beautiful. We found fantastic cafes and restaurants nearby, as well as a good selection of local shops.
We took some trips out of town along the Seine and to gardens in the vicinity. The tourist office is on the beach front and they can give you maps and leaflets.
The modern art museum is not to be missed.
This property has a great location, right on the harbour, with splendid views. There are lots of great restaurants nearby, and its very close to the town center. Granville is charming and I'd recommend it to everyone.
The owners of the apartment are very helpful and friendly and the cost is very good value for money. NO I am not related to the owners, nor have they asked me to write this. This is my own genuine assessment.
The owners were very welcoming and available. Everything was well thought out, down to the toilet paper and paper towels. Very practical for traveling light. We were treated to a welcome basket and recommendations for activities to do. The accommodation offers a superb view. The only negative points: - accommodation not very suitable for a family because it is not spacious. - not suitable when looking for a quiet place, because you can hear cars passing by. You also have to have a deep sleep...very early in the morning, you are woken up by the seagulls and the church.

Very nice house and nice landlords! Beautiful, spacious rooms with private bathrooms. Nice beds and bed linen. We had a great time! The only downside is that the boiler is not designed for such a large group, despite a short shower. Something should be done about this, as is evident from previous reviews.

Enige minpunt is dat de boiler niet is berekend op een dergelijke grote groep, ondanks kort douchen. Hier zou wat aan gedaan moeten worden, blijkt ook al uit eerdere recensies.
The accommodation is very good, however there is no cold water in the downstairs bathroom (boiling water) and even more detrimental is the inoperative WIFI which was detrimental for 2 people who wanted to work. This observation is all the more regrettable because the previous tenants had reported it and the owner did not do what was necessary to remedy it. Last point, this accommodation is indicated for 8 people and there are only 6 chairs in good condition, those that count are in very poor condition. Please note that the people who take care of reception and departure arrangements are very warm and available.
Le logement est très correct cependant il n'y a pas d'eau froide dans la salle de bain du bas (eau bouillante) et plus préjudiciable encore le WIFI inopérant ce qui a été préjudiciable pour 2 personnes qui souhaitaient travailler. Ce constat est d'autant plus regrettable car les locataires précédents l'avaient signalé et que le propriétaire n'a pas fait le nécessaire pour y remédier. Dernier point ce logement est indiqué pour 8 personnes et il n'y a que 6 chaises en bon état, celles qui font le compte sont en très mauvais état. A noter, que les personnes qui s'occupent des modalités d'accueil et de départ sont très chaleureuses et disponibles.

Il faudrait préciser que les escaliers qui mènent au 2 ème étage et desservent 2 chambres, sont très exigus et très pentus. Ils ne sont pas adaptés aux personnes à mobilité réduite ni aux jeunes enfants.
Localisation idéale, endroit calme, belles balades à pieds, un carrefour "Contact" très bien fourni est à 900 m, très pratique.
La maison : grande cuisine pratique qui devient vite la pièce à vivre, beau jardin et belle terrasse, la maison est bien isolée et chauffe bien , malgré tout attention à la note due au prix du fuel...
Lits confortables, ils semblent récents, cependant de taille standard...

For the first time in autumn, with a lot of new impressions, new experiences. We will have the memory of watching the rain fall from the indoor swimming pool, "dry", as if it wanted to wash away the whole world. Still, we were lucky with the weather. When we stayed outside longer, we were always able to do it without an umbrella. We enjoyed the sea in all its variations: from calm to agitation, in all its nuances, always full of elemental force. Trois ans sans la Normandie, sans la mer ..... quelle horreur !
Le bonheur d'être de retour est d'autant plus grand. Cette fois-ci, les grands-parents avec leurs deux petites-filles.
Pour la première fois en automne, avec beaucoup de nouvelles impressions, de nouvelles expériences. Il nous restera le souvenir d'avoir regardé la pluie tomber depuis la piscine couverte, au "sec", comme si elle voulait emporter le monde entier.
Malgré tout, nous avons eu de la chance avec le temps. Lorsque nous sommes restés plus longtemps à l'extérieur, nous avons toujours pu le faire sans parapluie.
Nous avons apprécié la mer dans toutes ses variations : du calme à l'agitation, dans toutes ses nuances, toujours pleine de force élémentaire.
Et toujours le point de repos au milieu, le chalet SUNSET. Confortable, chaud, douillet, complet comme d'habitude. Merci à nos hôtes attentionnés et sympathiques pour ce petit bijou.

Good morning, This apartment is ideally located since you will only have to take a few steps before putting your feet in the sand. This location also benefits from a magnificent view which is very pleasant to contemplate whether from the garden or from inside. Its location also allows you to reach the main street of Cabourg or the mini golf course in a few minutes, for example. The accommodation is clean and well equipped. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. Everything is perfect, as proof we are already on our 5th stay and we will come back with great pleasure :-)

Cet appartement est idéalement situé puisque vous n'aurez que quelques pas à faire avant de mettre les pieds dans le sable. Cette situation fait également bénéficier d'une vue magnifique qui est très agréable à contempler que ce soit depuis le jardin ou depuis l'intérieur. Sa localisation permet également de se rendre en quelques minutes dans la rue principale de Cabourg ou encore au mini-golf par exemple.
Le logement est propre et bien équipé.
La propriétaire est très sympathique et arrangeante.
Tout est donc parfait, pour preuve nous en sommes déjà à notre 5ème séjour et nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir :-)

The rental was spotlessly clean; visibly refurbished and immediately practical, equipped with the necessary equipment for both cooking and cleaning.
