Comfortable villa on two and a half acres with a large pool and jacuzzi
Our peaceful holiday home is situated on the outskirts of a small town of 3000 inhabitants on two and a half acres of woodland and meadow.
There is a large sunny pool 12x6m and an outdoor heated jacuzzi, with plenty of sun loungers on the terrace. The summer kitchen has a hob, barbecue, fridge, hot water and beer pump with chilled water and beer or wine on tap if you like, supplied at extra cost. Large shady dining table and hammocks for siestas.
Internet and wifi supplied indoors and outdoors, satellite TV (Canal +), 42" screen, DVD, amplifier and speakers for your own music. Air conditioning throughout the house, well equipped kitchen and all bedding and towels supplied. There are games, books, ping pong table, pétanque and space to park several cars.
There are markets everyday in the vicinity; Quissac is ten min. on foot with good local butchers, bakers and shops; Anduze famous for its bamboo gardens and pots is 20mins away; there are caves, rivers and canoeing to explore; the national parks of the Cevennes with chestnut trees and dinosaur footprint and the Camargue with its horses and flamingoes to visit; Nimes and its Roman ruins and the city of Montpellier are each around 40km away and the Mediterranean sea is less than an hour with the Garrigue to visit nearby. Horse riding, walking, cycling, wine tasting... the vines of the Pic St Loup and Costières de Nimes are not far, and Quissac is surrounded by excellent local wineries and goats cheeses worth discovering....

Our peaceful house is situated at the end of a lane with no passing traffic, on the outskirts of Quissac. Mountain views from upstairs over the verdant slopes of Coutach. Nearby is the old railway line, now a green track that links Quissac to medieval Sauve, great for jogging and cycling. There are bike hire and tennis courts in town, a market every wednesday, tourist office, maison de terroir, restaurants and local shops.
The area is well known for its wine, its fêtes and its excellent goats cheese.

Getting there
Quissac is less than an hour's drive from the airports of Nimes and Montpellier, and the railway stations of Nimes, Montpellier and Alès. There is a daily bus from Nimes to Quissac: Edgard D40.
By motorway either the A9 direction Nimes, exit 25, cross two roundabouts, follow Alès then take the D999 towards Le Vigan. Stay on the D999 until Quissac;
Or take the A75 direction Montpellier, exit 49 Le Caylar and follow D142/D9, then D25 until Ganges where you pick up the D999 to Quissac.

The outdoor jacuzzi is heated from June to Sept. and included in the weekly rate. Out of season there is a supplement payable depending on the weather.
Minimum rental period is five days.
A 5% reduction on the weekly rate is applicable to rentals of three weeks or longer.
We ask guests to clean the house before leaving. If this is not desirable or possible, a supplement will be charged depending on occupancy.
