Adriana had been very helpful and honest about the extent of the hill and the time to go up and down (15-20 mins). It was very steep and we had to decide lungs or hairpin bends!!. However for the views it was definitely worth it! The garden and view were so breathtaking it moved me to tears the first time I walked out! I’m emotional at times but didn’t expect that!
The house is basic Italian style but we enjoyed this. A kettle and better shower would benefit the place but we would not complain at all. Adriana and her husband were a private but friendly and helpful presence upstairs. We had a wild peacock in the garden, their many cats as well as bats around the pool at night, and a non “toxic” scorpion.
We had a medical emergency whilst there and they kindly extended our stay whilst we went to and from Luino hospital. Because of this we didn’t fully explore the area but had great meals at La Gabella and our teenage boys played football for free on the Astro turf in the village during the day. A ferry to Cannobio was great and the train really easy to use with internet tickets prebooked if there was no one in ticket office. A real hidden beauty. Top quality exterior. Very kind hosts with paintings by the owner through the house.
Can’t remember if we signed a rental agreement but felt safer giving money when we got there than paying and risking sending money before.
The property was wonderful. The pool is exactly as pictured and has wonderful views. There is everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The covered outdoor dining area overlooking the lake was great as it was a very hot week. The gardens are beautiful. There is inflatables for the pool and table tennis equipment. The local supermarket in the nearby village has everything you need and stays open until 7.30. It is a steep narrow road to the property but we soon got used to that. Adriana was a wonderful host and her English was very good, which is useful as our Italian is terrible! There is room in the 2nd bedroom for 4 beds for my boys. We had a wonderful relaxing week. I would recommend this to anyone.

Large, more than comfortable apartment, with garage below, in a position above Toscolano, reachable in a few minutes. The owner Rosanna, despite being at a distance, is attentive and thoughtful. Fantastic view over the Lago Maggiore. The garden invites you to linger. Very nice, helpful and discreet landlord. A good starting point for day trips around the Northeastern Lake. Always my pleasure :-)

A very well maintained holiday home. The garden and pool are beautiful and ideal for a very relaxing holiday. The flowers and plants are impressive and the views from the pool are stunning. The owners who live upstairs were very friendly and helpful. Privacy was still guaranteed. It was an unforgettable stay that we would like to repeat.
Eine sehr gepflegte Ferienunterkunft. Der Garten und der Pool sind wunderschön und ideal für einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub. Die Blumen und Pflanzen sind beeindruckend und die Aussicht vom Pool ist atemberaubend. Die im Obergeschoss wohnenden Eigentümer waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Privatsphäre war trotzdem gewährleistet. Es war ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt, den wir gerne wiederholen würden.
We stayed for the second time in the beautiful holiday home with a huge garden and a fantastic pool, from which you have a breathtaking view of Lake Maggiore. As with our last stay, there was nothing to complain about this time either. The house was very clean, the entire facility was very well maintained and the landlords, Adriana and Bruno, were warm and courteous, but always discreetly in the background. Thank you for a wonderful holiday week, we would love to come back next year!
Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in dem schönen Ferienhaus mit riesigem Garten und dem traumhaften Pool, von dem aus man einen atemberaubenden Blick auf den Lago Maggiore hat. Wie bei unserem letzten Aufenthalt war auch diesmal nichts zu bemängeln. Das Haus war sehr sauber, die gesamte Anlage sehr gepflegt und die Vermieter, Adriana und Bruno, herzlich und zuvorkommend, aber stets diskret im Hintergrund. Vielen Dank für eine wunderschöne Urlaubswoche, wir kommen gerne im nächsten Jahr wieder!

Die Unterkunft entsprach voll und ganz der Beschreibung im Internet. Das Haus war sehr sauber, der Pool und der große Garten sehr gepflegt und ein Traum! Very warm welcome by Claudine upon our arrival. She is also very attentive and concerned about our well-being to allow us to have a great time. The apartment is as described and is very complete. Access to the lake is 5 min on foot! The view of the lake and the mountains from the apartment is magnificent. We recommend this rental where we had a very pleasant stay.

L'appartement est conforme à la description et est très complet. L'accès au Lac se fait en 5 min à pieds! La vue sur le lac et les montagnes, depuis l'appartement, est magnifique.

This holiday home is beautifully situated and offers every comfort. We were warmly and warmly welcomed by the owners. They are attentive and available yet very discreet and calm. The house was immaculate on arrival. The garden is beautiful and was completely at our disposal. The pool was the icing on the cake. it exceeded our expectations. Very clean, spacious and with a beautiful view of the lake. The holiday home itself is also very spacious (we traveled with our two children, 9 and 3 years old) and offers a beautiful view of the surroundings. The house is a bit higher on the mountain slope and can be reached via a few tough hairpin bends. There is a footpath to the village below right next to the house. But this is still a half hour walk. Not suitable for getting fresh bread in the dry every day, but with an oven and freezer available in the house, this could be solved. In the town there are several eateries, the ferry can be taken and there is a lot of beach reach. there are also many nice towns and excursions within direct reach. We were charmed by the tranquility of the owners and the location of the holiday home. the house is provided everywhereof roller shutters so that the heat inside could be kept under control. The owners take care of their property with much love and want to give their guests a nice holiday. They are available for questions, but they do not impose themselves. During our entire stay (14 days) we had the impression that we had the empire to ourselves. Price - quality, this house is definitely recommended!
Deze vakantiewoning is prachtig gelegen en biedt alle comfort. Wij werden hartelijk en warm ontvangen door de eigenaars. Zij zijn attent en beschikbaar doch zeer discreet en rustig. De woning was kraaknet bij aankomst. De tuin is prachtig en was volledig ter onze beschikking. Het zwembad was de kers op de taart. het oversteeg onze verwachtingen. Zeer net, ruim en met een prachtig zicht op het meer. Ook de vakantiewoning zelf is zeer ruim (wij reisden met onze twee kinderen 9 en 3 jaar) en biedt een prachtig zicht op de omgeving. De woning ligt wat hoger tegen de bergflank en is bereikbaar via een paar pittige haarspeldbochten. Er is vlak aan de woning een wandelpad naar het dorp beneden. Maar dit is toch een half uurtje stappen. Niet geschikt om elke dag vers brood in het dor te halen, maar met een oven en diepvries ter beschikking in het huisje kon dit opgelost worden. In het stadje zijn verschillende eetgelegenheden, kan de overzetboot genomen worden en is er heel wat strandbereik. verder zijn er heel wat leuke stadjes en uitstappen binnen direct bereik.
Wij waren gecharmeerd door de rust van de eigenaars en de ligging van het vakantiehuisje. het huis is overal voorzien van rolluiken waardoor de warmte binnen onder controle kon worden gehouden. De eigenaars verzorgen hun eigendom met veel liefde en willen hun gasten een mooie vakantie gunnen. Bij vragen zijn ze beschikbaar, maar ze dringen zich niet op. Gedurende gans ons verblijf (14 dagen) hadden wij de indruk het rijk voor ons alleen te hebben. Prijs - kwaliteit is deze woning zeker een aanrader!
Very nice apartment with unsurpassed lake view; I stayed with my family, my two children were particularly enthusiastic about the well-maintained and little-used motorcycle pool (the possibility of seeing the pool from the terrace is also very convenient so as to comfortably supervise the children). Convenient direct access to the greenway that allowed us to walk to the beautiful Villa Balbaniello. A special thanks to the friendly and caring owner Claudine.
Appartamento molto bello con vista lago insuperabile; ho soggiornato con la mia famiglia, i miei due figli erano entusiasti in particolare della piscina moto ben tenuta e poco frequentata (molto comoda anche la possibilità di vedere la piscina dal terrazzo così da sorvegliare comodamente i bambini). Comodo l’accesso diretto alla greenway che ci ha consentito di raggiungere a piedi la stupenda Villa Balbaniello. Un particolare ringraziamento alla proprietaria Claudine simpatica e premurosa.
Very nice apartment, as described, with a magnificent view of the lake and the island, as well as the swimming pool. Very bright, pleasant due to its spaces and its two terraces ... we ate every day on the terrace overlooking the lake, it was very peaceful. Ideally located for excursions to villas and gardens, for walks in the village and fairly close to the center of Como by car. Rest or discovery, there is something for everyone. So we had a very pleasant stay at Escale Incanto, and were very warmly welcomed by Mrs CH, owner very very friendly and available. Thanks again ! S&W.
Très bel appartement, tel que décrit, avec une vue magnifique sur le lac et l'île ainsi que sur la piscine.
Bien lumineux, agréable de part ses espaces et ses deux terrasses... nous avons mangé tous les jours sur la terrasse avec vue sur le lac, c'était très paisible.
Idéalement situé pour les excursions de villas et jardins, pour les promenades dans le village et assez proche du centre ville de Côme en voiture. Repos ou découvertes, il y en a pour tous les goûts.
Nous avons donc passé un très agréable séjour à Escale Incanto, et furent très chaleureusement accueillis par Mme C.H, propriétaire vraiment très sympathique et disponible. Merci encore ! S&W.
