This is our 3rd stay in this apartment, this year we stayed for a month and had a great time. The studio is perfect for a couple it has everything you need to have a relaxing holiday. Close to the beach and in between Royan and St George-de-Didonne two beautiful places to visit with many more in the surrounding area. The residence were the apartment is situated is quiet, well kept with very friendly people in the other apartments. We love staying here and look forward to next year.?
The property matched the description. It is in a quite area close to the beach and not far from the town.
I loved the veranda to sit in having breakfast and lunch.
We had a problem with smell from the cellar which caused us some breathing problems as the damp smell was coming into our apartment and we were not permitted to leave front door open to let air in. The renter has been advised and is sorting the problem. Comfortable and suitable for a couple looking for a quiet holiday in a perfect location like Royan which has entertainment most nights in the summer season
We booked Les Thalassiles at the last minute having left very disappointing accommodation in Chatelallion-Plage. It was the best decision and literally made our holiday as not only is Fouras a much more beautiful location, but the Villas and facilities in Les Thalassiles are exceptional in every way. We were welcomed by Maurice who showed us around and also recommended sightseeing and amenities in the area. Maurice and his wife are on hand should you need anything and they make time for their guests whilst not being intrusive. There is a great display of tourist information leaflets in the clubhouse that will help you to plan your visit. The Villa Madame was spotlessly clean, bright, modern and well equipped. I particularly enjoyed the terrace where you could rest, read or dine al fresco. There was a beautiful parasol which shaded the area if needed. Within the villa there was terrific storage which meant all belongings and luggage could be put away out of sight and out of your way. The hosts had even installed shoe storage specific to your villa in the clubhouse and outside the front door of your villa for convenience. The rooms were very spacious, bright and airy with really comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms. The kitchen has absolutely everything right down to a Nespresso type coffee pod machine! The clubhouse, which is open from 10am to 7pm, gives access to the spotlessly clean, heated pool and jacuzzi. The whole family enjoyed these facilities including the mini gym. Maurice is focused on hygiene when using the communal facilities and so one could really enjoy them. There were plenty of sun loungers and tables and chairs available to enjoy, be it under shade or in the sunshine. Although shared, we often had the pool to ourselves which was heavenly. Fouras is a gorgeous coastal village with lovely beaches, restaurants and shops. It is an ideal touring location with Rochefort, La Rochelle, Ile D'Aix and Oleron all within easy reach. The oldtown and harbour in La Rochelle is well worth a visit as is the Aquarium. We went aboard the frigate L'Hermione in Rochefort and it was possible to climb the rigging on a replica vessel. We also did a day trip to the spectacular Puy Du Fou. Overall we had a terrific holiday in the Fouras area but really the jewel in the crown was our fabulous accommodation in Les Thalassiles. We loved this house, a traditional property, and it was really close to the beach. The owner was charming and the lady who looked after the property was very helpful. The only thing we didn't like was the strong smell of stale tobacco smoke, impossible to get rid of. Of course that may have changed in the time since we stayed there, if so, it deserves rating 5. We'd like to go again someday.
Excellent accommodation, M.Erard has thought of everything. We had the best holiday that we have had in many years. We even enjoyed the short periods of poor weather, because the apartment is so nice.
M. Erard made his English guests very welcome and we do hope to return when we can.
A lovely property situated in private enclosed grounds. It was very well equipped & we felt very much at home. Only a 5 mins walk to a beach & a 10 mins drive to the main shops in St Pierre.
Friendly helpful owner. Property was small but comfortable and well provisioned. Very good central location within walking distance of the beach. Only one area of improvement needed. The front outside area which is advertised as a patio needs some attention!! Apart from that good property at a reasonable price.
Location is in the flats favour, five minutes stroll to the beach. It is situated in a block of flats with working / retired tenants. Henri the caretaker speaks no English at all, although we managed to get round that with difficulty. The contract issued by Nicolas is lengthy and in French, so if you are unable to translate it, you may have problems understanding it.
Our own view is if you are appealling to the English market, then it would be most helpful to have an English version available. We were unable to access the internet, neither could Henri, the desk drawer was jammed in. The flat itself was excellent and suitable for rental, although you had to be careful not to damage anything, you can undertsand why the contract is lengthy. Parking is good, with access to a lockable garage, or if you wish an allocated parking space. Two inexpensive restaraunts within a stroll to the town centre are Spago`s and Margot, both o.k.
A lovely property in an excellent location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the La Rochelle area and this house made a superb base.

We had a great stay in this house. It fully conforms to the announcement and better. A very responsive welcome and exchange with the owners and the person in contact on site. A haven of peace and zenitude. Close to all shops, leave your car and enjoy a nice walk or bike ride. I highly recommend and the price is well justified.

Very pleasant, functional and very well decorated house in a quiet area. Pretty garden and beautiful terraces. Very enjoyable heated swimming pool for the whole family. Warm welcome. Excellent 2nd stay for 6 people and a small dog at the end of October 2023, we will come back with pleasure and we recommend this rental.
Maison très agréable, fonctionnelle et très bien décorée dans un quartier calme. Joli jardin et belles terrasses. Piscine chauffée très appréciable pour toute la famille. Accueuil chaleureux. Excellent 2e séjour pour 6 personnes et un petit chien fin octobre 2023, nous reviendrons avec plaisir et nous recommandons cette location.
Very very nice surprise! huge house! Ideal for 5. We didn't lack anything: an oyster knife and a whisk to make the mayo (the essentials!) Quality household appliances.
Little extra for yoga/meditation lovers: a wicker zafu: super comfortable! We will return with great pleasure!

The house is well located, comfortable and clean. The owners are very pleasant and not intrusive even if they live in the adjoining house. Maybe a little tight for 4 (?) but there were only 2 of us so it was perfect for us. A lovely stay on the island of Oléron, a rental to recommend without hesitation!
La maison est bien située, confortable et propre. Les propriétaires sont très agréables et pas envahissants même s'ils logent dans la maison mitoyenne. Peut-être un peu juste pour 4 (?) mais nous n'étions que 2 donc c'était parfait pour nous. Un beau séjour sur l'île d'Oléron, une location à recommander sans hésiter !
It is always with the same pleasure that we rent for the fourth time in this small, very quiet and discreet campsite 150 m from the sea and the beach. It must be said that the owner is very friendly and always ready to help you. Well located in the center of the island next to the pretty port of Cotinière with many easy and well-maintained cycle paths allowing you to take very beautiful walks in complete safety. The mobile home is very clean, well equipped, in a pleasant setting and fully enclosed at very attractive prices. Looking forward to going back to fish for smelts, tellines, clams, razor clams and other shellfish. To recommend without hesitation.
C 'est toujours avec le même plaisir que nous louons pour la quatrième fois dans ce petit camping très calme et discret à 150 m de la mer et de la plage.
Il faut dire que le propriétaire est très sympathique et toujours a l'écoute pour vous rendre service. Bien situé au centre de l'île à côté du joli port de la Cotinière avec de nombreuses pistes cyclables faciles et bien entretenues permettant de faire de très belles balades en toute sécurité. Le mobil-home est très propre, bien équipé, dans un cadre agréable et entièrement clos à des tarifs très attractifs.
Hâte d y retourner pour pêcher les éperlans, tellines, palourdes, couteaux et autres coquillages.
A recommander sans hésitation.
