Very good Chalet, we rented the house during the winter and due to the recent snowfall we were able to ski from the house to the ski lift (and even from the piste to the house, though this requires a fairly substantial descend off-piste). The owners were responsive in their communication and were able to offer us a discount on our skipasses. Overall we had a very nice stay!
Excellent chalet for a large group of people. Some areas are a bit tired but in the main the chalet is very comfortable with good facilities and lovely views.
Not five star comfort but this is a good value, good house. 11 of us spent a very happy week there. The beds were comfortable and the house was warm and cosy. Everything worked. TA bonus was the free supply of firewood for the excellent wood burning fire in the living room.
The owner is not always the quickest at replying to e-mail and we used English/French Google Translate as an aid to communication but overall Olivier is OK to deal with.
We would be very happy to stay there again.
We stayed as a family (2 adults and 2 young children) with our friends (2 adults). The living room was just right for all of us and the fireplace was a bonus for the winter. Very well-renovated, clean and modern.
The chalet was really baby-friendly, with real baby cot(not those traveling ones), high chair, potty and baby bath tub.
Our landlord is staying in the next house, so we could ask him if we have questions.
Since it is an wooden house with 2 separate units, so it tends to be slightly creaky while walking on the top floor. The creaking was a bit of distraction for our kids when our neighbors' kids storm up to their beds, while we were trying get to them to sleep (they thought that we are having a party without them). But our kids got used to it after a night.
Language-wise, we were able to communicate with the landlord with our limited french and with help of Google. The landlord was very patient and always try her best to understand what we needed. It was a great stay to this chalet.

A lovely chalet in a great location. Ski-in and ski-out, but not for complete beginners.
The chalet is very well furnished and equipped, particularly the kitchen.
Communication with the owner was good too, which can be useful.
Well priced, would thoroughly recommend this chalet for a group.

Lovely location and everyone very helpful. Very suitable for large groups and families. Close to the summer amenities and an excellent location for walking, climbing, biking or running.
Excellent stay. House really well prepared, with extense space. Everything worked as expected. We recommend it specially for families wishing to enjoy a good skiing week.
Charming chalet, ideal for 2 families. Very good equipped. Exceptional views. Right in front of the ski slopes which allows skiing from and to the chalet. Enough space to store / dry the ski equipment. Just keep in mind 300 meters that you have to carry luggage, food stuff etc. from parking to the chalet in winter times. Anyway: We´ll be back soon!
The Sunset Chalet was simply espectacular! Everything was new and placed with incredible care, even the tiniest detail. The rooms were very comfortable, specially the main one, with a state of the art bathroom. I barely have words to appreciate the warm welcome and support from Eliane and Francis, who where there to make our life absolutely comfortable during our stay. And there is no doubt of the reason of the name of the Chalet. You can enjoy an incredible view of the sunset from its wonderful garden!
My family and I had an amazing experience visiting Normandy with the Sunset Chalet as a base.
When we arrived the owners were there. They told us all about the house (about technical matters and where things that were) and they are very friendly. There was cider and cookies as a welcome!
Everything you need or what you think you need 😏 was in and around the house!
Very clean, very nicely decorated and for the parents had their en suite bedroom with their own bathroom.
All the beds were made-up, and there are towels. And you can wash the towels and your own clothes and dry them in the dryer.
So you can go back home with clean clothes, etc.
It's quiet and so very good to relax.
The sea is near the house (we can get there by car in 5 min) with very nice rocks.
It rained quite often so we could only sit outside for 1 day .....it's very nice and has a big garden and a bbq and sun loungers .
Maybe we'll come back another year....
This has been our second time renting this lovely Chalet and we entend to go back again. It is very comfortable very well equiped and ideal for a family. The chalet is located very close to the village so getting around by foot is very easy. Charmey is a beautiful village and offers many activities (out door heated swiming pool, ski resort, hiking....).

A superb Chalet for any season, we had seven young kids with us and they loved it. Franck the owner is friendly courteous and helpful and we would all like to say thanks to him for making our stay so pleassant. There is so much skiing in easy reach and even late in the season most slopes were open. Flaine whilst not pretty is contained, safe and great for young children.
The Chalet was in great condition having been only recently renovated, with everything you could wish for. Go there!
We had a pleasant stay in this calm and relaxing place, the chalet is as advertised and the quality and cleanliness make you quickly feel at home. We obviously recommend this chalet to anyone looking for peace and quiet in a quality rental.
