Our stay at this lovely Barfleur home was perfect for us! There was plenty of room for our family of seven to sleep comfortably. The home was very clean and well stocked with all the supplies that we needed, and was situated across from the beautiful harbour and just down the street from the town, which had several wonderful restaurants and shops. Valerie was extremely helpful in setting up our stay and making sure that we were greeted upon arrival on our first day. The best part for us was the serenity of the location! Our stay was quiet and peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the city life that we normally live. We enjoyed putting together a jigsaw puzzle, walking along the harbour, and eating in the local restaurants, which were delicious. The home was absolutely charming and impeccably kept up. We will definitely stay there again when we return to France. The only issue for us was the distance from the American Cemetery in Colville-Sur-Mer. We were not prepared for the long drive, but at this time of year, it’s difficult to find any accommodations in Normandy so we were grateful to have a place to stay which was able to accommodate our large family. Having found Barfleur, we now see it’s charm and would definitely stay there again. One other note: this property is not set up for anyone with disabilities other than on the first floor. There is a bedroom on the first floor and a bathroom on the first floor but otherwise all of the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the second and third floors with no lift. This apartment is really modern and has everything you need, including a big refrigerator with freezing, nice kitchen, nice and modern bathroom and a very comfortable bed!
The location is also great, only about 10 min walk from the centre and a supermarket within 5 min walk.
Only little downsides were that there's a floor above the apartment. The building is very old, do you can here every step the neighbours from above take. We weren't much in the apartment and only noticed it in the evening but never later then about 23.00-23.30.
Also the neighbours around tend to sit outside and sing and joke a lot, but also never later then 23.30 or so. Besides that they were really friendly.
These are minor things compared to how we enjoyed our stay. You can also park for free in the street or very nearby.
Would really recommend this apartment to others and the owner is also very friendly!
I would highly recommend this property, absolutely brilliant, really well furnished as a home rather than a holiday apartment. It is in a quiet, safe area with some lovely walks directly in front of the apartment along the Seine river front. An easy walk into the town with all the amenities close to hand.
The apartment is great for a couple with a really comfortable bed and a super large shower, there is a large fridge/freezer, full cooker, microwave, washer and a full size French television in fact all the conveniences of home. If you are not into French TV then they have a DVD player so bring some English DVD'S with you and perhaps a CD player if you want your own music.
The family who rent this property are charming, helpful and knowledgable, they speak English which helps enormously.
You can rent this property with confidence that you will have a great vacation. Bonnes vacances!
Perfect apartment with a perfect view.
We ( familly with 1 child) enjoyed our time here very much, the area is quiet and beautiful,
and we are already planning to come back.

We had a lovely stay in this apartment, which exceeded all our expectations. It is an upper ground floor, so not many steps to the front door.
The location is perfect, close to the beach and to the town. The tram stops really close by and there is free parking in the beachfront car park nearby.
The apartment is well appointed. The living room is spacious and there is a nice view of the sea. Our bedroom, at the back of the building was quiet.
There is a selection of books and CDs in the flat which we enjoyed. We didn't watch TV, but its there if you need it. The kitchen has everything you might need.
There are deckchairs if you want to sunbathe. There's a flat roof that can be accessed from the childrens bedroom, but the garden is not accessible. However; even without this short-cut, the route to the beach is quick.
The owners were efficient and helpful during the booking process and refunded our deposit very quickly at the end of the stay. We were met by the cleaner, who was very helpful and showed us around.
Le Havre is a lovely city. The world heritage area is very interesting and beautiful. We found fantastic cafes and restaurants nearby, as well as a good selection of local shops.
We took some trips out of town along the Seine and to gardens in the vicinity. The tourist office is on the beach front and they can give you maps and leaflets.
The modern art museum is not to be missed.
This property has a great location, right on the harbour, with splendid views. There are lots of great restaurants nearby, and its very close to the town center. Granville is charming and I'd recommend it to everyone.
The owners of the apartment are very helpful and friendly and the cost is very good value for money. NO I am not related to the owners, nor have they asked me to write this. This is my own genuine assessment.
Very nice house and nice landlords! Beautiful, spacious rooms with private bathrooms. Nice beds and bed linen. We had a great time! The only downside is that the boiler is not designed for such a large group, despite a short shower. Something should be done about this, as is evident from previous reviews.
Hele fijne woning en aardige verhuurders! Mooie, ruime kamers met eigen sanitair. Fijne bedden en bedlinnen. We hebben het erg naar ons zin gehad!
Enige minpunt is dat de boiler niet is berekend op een dergelijke grote groep, ondanks kort douchen. Hier zou wat aan gedaan moeten worden, blijkt ook al uit eerdere recensies.
We had a very good stay in this very well equipped cottage, perhaps a little dark in winter! there is space in the living areas, but we would have preferred the television to be in the living room area. our hosts gave us several welcome gifts, thank you to them, and good luck! we will probably come back as a family with the grandchildren, and rather on sunny days to take advantage of the outdoor facilities!
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans ce gite très bien équipé , peut-être un peu sombre en hiver ! il y a de l'espace dans les pièces à vivre, mais nous aurions préféré que la télévision soit dans la partie salon.
nos hôtes nous ont offert plusieurs cadeaux d'accueil merci à eux , et bonne continuation ! nous reviendrons probablement en famille avec les petits enfants, et plutôt aux beaux jours afin de profiter des aménagements extérieurs !
It should be noted that the stairs which lead to the 2nd floor and serve 2 bedrooms are very cramped and very steep. They are not suitable for people with reduced mobility or young children. Ideal location, quiet place, beautiful walks, a very well-stocked "Contact" crossroads is 900 m away, very practical. The house: large practical kitchen which quickly becomes the living room, beautiful garden and beautiful terrace, the house is well insulated and heats well, despite all attention to the bill due to the price of fuel... Comfortable beds, they seem recent, however standard size...
Il faudrait préciser que les escaliers qui mènent au 2 ème étage et desservent 2 chambres, sont très exigus et très pentus. Ils ne sont pas adaptés aux personnes à mobilité réduite ni aux jeunes enfants.
Localisation idéale, endroit calme, belles balades à pieds, un carrefour "Contact" très bien fourni est à 900 m, très pratique.
La maison : grande cuisine pratique qui devient vite la pièce à vivre, beau jardin et belle terrasse, la maison est bien isolée et chauffe bien , malgré tout attention à la note due au prix du fuel...
Lits confortables, ils semblent récents, cependant de taille standard...
Very nice house, well equipped, close to shops and the sea. We had a pleasant stay with the family. The owner is very welcoming and attentive to tenants. We were in Agon the week of Storm Ciaran, with one day without power. The owner took care of us. I thank Mr B. for his honesty regarding the amount of electricity revised downwards for the inconvenience suffered by the storm. I recommend this rental for a good family time.
Très belle maison, bien équipé, proche des commerces et de la mer. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour en famille. Le propriétaire est très accueillant et à l'écoute des locataires. Nous étions à Agon la semaine de la tempête Ciaran, avec une journée sans électricité. Le propriétaire a pris soin de nous. Je remercie Mr B. pour son honnêteté concernant le montant de l'électricité revu à la baisse pour les désagréments subis par la tempête. Je recommande cette location pour passer un bon moment familial.
Good morning, This apartment is ideally located since you will only have to take a few steps before putting your feet in the sand. This location also benefits from a magnificent view which is very pleasant to contemplate whether from the garden or from inside. Its location also allows you to reach the main street of Cabourg or the mini golf course in a few minutes, for example. The accommodation is clean and well equipped. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. Everything is perfect, as proof we are already on our 5th stay and we will come back with great pleasure :-)

Cet appartement est idéalement situé puisque vous n'aurez que quelques pas à faire avant de mettre les pieds dans le sable. Cette situation fait également bénéficier d'une vue magnifique qui est très agréable à contempler que ce soit depuis le jardin ou depuis l'intérieur. Sa localisation permet également de se rendre en quelques minutes dans la rue principale de Cabourg ou encore au mini-golf par exemple.
Le logement est propre et bien équipé.
La propriétaire est très sympathique et arrangeante.
Tout est donc parfait, pour preuve nous en sommes déjà à notre 5ème séjour et nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir :-)
Very nice home. Owner attentive. If you have a young child, there is no need to worry... everything is on site (baby bed, high chair, changing mat, etc.). We had a very pleasant stay.

Pleasant house and very well located in the city center near the market and beaches pretty terrace with lots of flowers. As we had magnificent weather and a lot of heat, we regretted the absence of fans to cool the rooms.
