We spent a very nice couple of weeks. The house absolutely corresponds to what is stated on the site. Very livable and equipped with all comforts. Located in a truly strategic position both to easily reach the sea and to visit the most suggestive places in Basilicata. Ms. Flavia has always been very kind and at the same time discreet. Abbiamo trascorso un paio di settimane molto belle. La casa corrisponde assolutamente a quanto dichiarato sul sito. Molto vivibile e dotata di tutti i comfort. Situata in una posizione davvero strategica sia per raggiungere comodamente il mare sia per visitare le località più suggestive della Basilicata. La signora Flavia si è dimostrata sempre molto gentile e allo stesso tempo discreta. Rapporto qualità/prezzo ottimo.
The house is located in a prime location on one of the most beautiful bays in the area. For us it was a huge advantage to be able to reach the sea practically under the house with a pleasant walk of not even 10 minutes !! Those who want to spend the holidays in total relaxation, away from the noise, the crowded beaches, the chaos, will surely fall in love with this magical place. Special thanks go to Raffaele and Rita, people of unrelieved kindness and availability.
La casa è situata in un'ottima posizione, su una delle baie più belle della zona. Per noi è stato un enorme vantaggio poter raggiungere il mare praticamente sotto casa con una piacevole passeggiata di neanche 10 minuti!! Chi vuole trascorrere le vacanze in totale relax, lontano dal rumore, dalle spiagge affollate, dal caos, sicuramente si innamorerà di questo posto magico.

Il posto in cui è ubicata la casa è incantevole. La casa è immersa nel verde, con un bellissimo terrazzo. Un ringraziamento particolare va al Signore ed a sua moglie Rita, due persone a dir poco splendide, che con discrezione e simpatia non ti fanno mancare nulla. Piccolo neo: l'assenza di un impianto di climatizzazione, che con il picco di calore che ha colpito l'Italia in questo periodo sarebbe stato essenziale. Grazie anche al padrone di casa per la sua gentilezza e cortesia.
All very good from home to place to Raffaele's welcome exquisite person. Only a fake that unfortunately does not depend on the owner. For the rest everything is very nice and absolutely recommendable.
Tutto molto positivo dalla casa al posto all'accoglienza di Raffaele persona squisita. Solo una pecca che non dipende purtroppo dal proprietario. Parlo dell'animazione con musica svolta presso il sovrastante Hotel San Diego che di pomeriggio e sera è abbastanza fastidiosa.
Per il resto tutto molto bello e assolutamente consigliabile.
We spent 15 days exploring Basilicata, its sea and its beauties ... that are really a lot, and really beautiful. Ms. Flavia very helpful and polite, even the locals friendly and polite, the greengrocer in the square, the lady of the nearby bakery and pastry. The sea is ideal for families with children and the wonderful weather, warm but always windy sun. The accommodation is very nice large a nice bedroom and a kitchen more than habitable, the bathroom with a super shower. The parking in front was a real convenience. The surroundings of Scanzano Jonico deserve: Bernalda, Montalbano Jonico, Pisticci Tursi, we were in Craco and what about the beauty of Matera! And the hills are like a painting. Abbiamo trascorso 15 giorni alla scoperta della Basilicata, del suo mare e delle sue bellezze… che sono veramente tante e realmente belle. La signora Flavia molto disponibile e gentile, anche le persone del posto socievoli e gentili, il verduriere nella piazza, la signora della panetteria e la pasticceria vicina. Il mare è ideale per famiglie con bambini e il clima magnifico, sole caldo ma sempre ventilato.
L'alloggio è molto bello ampio una bella camera da letto e una cucina più che abitabile, il bagno con una doccia super.
Il parcheggio davanti è stata una vera comodità.
Anche i dintorni di Scanzano Jonico meritano: Bernalda, Montalbano Jonico, Pisticci, Tursi, siamo stati a Craco e che dire della bellezza di Matera! E le colline sono come un dipinto. Grazie Basilicata e grazie signora Flavia

Villetta molto carina e soprattutto fresca poiché circondata da piante interne al giardino attrezzata di ogni confort, dispone di un gran porticato che ben si presta per pranzi e cene all'aperto. Proprietario e custode molto disponibili e gentili. Sicuramente ci ritorneremo.
We stayed (two adults) in the apartment from 29 August to 10 September 2015. Spacious, clean and comfortable, equipped with every comfort: washing machine, television, microwave, air conditioning, iron ... He, in short, all the necessary facilities to make your stay pleasant and comfortable and the presentation form is true. The furniture is functional and the rooms are very spacious. The area is comfortable, quiet, with a large public square to park and you can walk to all the stores and shops of Scanzano, those frequented by the locals, where you can find quality products at low prices. Apartment excellent choice for both long and short, suitable for both couples and families. Value absolutely proportionate. The most qualifying aspect, however, is the availability, kindness and discretion of Ms. Flavia and her family. The nearest beaches, both equipped and free, about 5 km away. Golden sand, clear water, shallow and sandy, very suitable for children. We have greatly appreciated the beach Terzo Cavone reached after a smallwalk (10 minutes by car) in the pine forest, the beach of Policoro, in particular the WWF to spawn some specimens of turtles and, above all, the beach (free) Nova Siri with its clear waters and wonderful views Ionic. Scanzano was a great starting point for excursions to discover charming towns and villages along a few kilometers: the idyllic village of Craco, set many national and international films; the district Rabatana Tursi, testimony of the settlement in the Arab area; the hill of Anglona, ??with its breathtaking scenery and the beautiful church of Santa Maria di Anglona; gullies, one of the most interesting landscape features, and stunning, Basilicata; and yet ... Bernalda, Tricarico, Metaponto Montescaglioso, Ferrandina, Aliano ... but also a jump in Puglia to visit the Castello Aragonese Taranto (free entry) or the Trulli of Alberobello. Finally the words of Carlo Levi for an experience that alone would be enough to make our holiday memorable, visiting Matera: "Anyone who can not see Matera in not being affected so much expressive andtouching her sorrowful beauty ". Abbiamo soggiornato (due adulti) nell'appartamento dal 29 agosto al 10 settembre 2015. Appartamento spazioso, pulito ed accogliente, dotato di tutti i comfort: lavatrice, televisore, forno, climatizzatore, ferro da stiro... Ha, insomma, tutte le comodità necessarie per rendere il soggiorno gradevole e confortevole e la scheda di presentazione è veritiera. L'arredamento è funzionale e le stanze sono molto spaziose. La zona è comoda, tranquilla, con un ampio piazzale pubblico per parcheggiare e consente di raggiungere a piedi tutti i negozi e le botteghe di Scanzano, quelle frequentate dai locali, in cui è possibile trovare prodotti di qualità a prezzi irrisori. Appartamento ottimo per soggiorni sia lunghi che brevi, adatto sia per coppie che per famiglie. Rapporto qualità prezzo assolutamente proporzionato. L'aspetto più qualificante è però la disponibilità, la gentilezza e la discrezione della Sig.ra Flavia e della sua famiglia.
Le spiagge più vicine, sia attrezzate che libere, distano 5 km circa. Sabbia dorata, acqua cristallina, fondali bassi e sabbiosi, adattissime per i bambini. Noi abbiamo molto apprezzato la spiaggia di Terzo Cavone raggiungibile dopo una piccola passeggiata (10 minuti dal parcheggio) in pineta, la spiaggia di Policoro, in particolare quella dell’Oasi WWF dove si riproducono alcuni esemplari di tartarughe e, soprattutto, la spiaggia (libera) di Nova Siri con le sue acque limpide ed una vista meravigliosa della costiera ionica.
Scanzano è stato un ottimo punto di partenza per escursioni alla scoperta di borghi e città incantevoli percorrendo pochi km: il suggestivo paese di Craco, set di molti film nazionali ed internazionali; il quartiere della Rabatana di Tursi, testimonianza dell'insediamento arabo in quest'area; il colle di Anglona, con i suoi paesaggi mozzafiato e la splendida chiesa di S. Maria di Anglona; i calanchi, una delle peculiarità paesaggistiche più interessanti, e mozzafiato, della Basilicata; ed ancora… Bernalda, Tricarico, Metaponto, Montescaglioso, Ferrandina, Aliano…ma anche un salto in Puglia per visitare il Castello aragonese di Taranto (ingresso gratuito) o i trulli di Alberobello.
Infine le parole di Carlo Levi per un’esperienza che da sola basterebbe a rendere indimenticabile la nostra vacanza, la visita a Matera: "Chiunque veda Matera non può non restarne colpito tanto è espressiva e toccante la sua dolente bellezza".

The apartment is clean and offers all services possible ... it is air conditioned, has mosquito nets everywhere. Maratea is also at the center of the coast of Basilicata, and with 20 minutes north or south, you reach the coast of Calabria or bells. Views of the bay from the terrace of the house at night is breathtaking. Pet friendly and leaves provide the means to make a clean urgent disaster who has pets. Does not charge the extra cleaning and the owner is a great person ...
L'appartamento è pulito e offre tutti i servizi possibili... è climatizzato, ha le zanzariere ovunque. Inoltre Maratea è al centro della costa della Basilicata e con 20 minuti verso nord o verso sud si raggiungono le coste campane o calabre. La vista sul golfo dalla terrazza di casa la sera è mozzafiato. Accetta gli animali domestici e lascia a disposizione i mezzi per effettuare una pulizia urgente in caso di disastri di chi ha amici a quattro zampe. Non fa pagare la pulizia straordinaria ed il proprietario è una gran bella persona...
Villa in the country, in a quiet and not passing. Access to the sea in a cove lovely although not comfortable (you have to make some up and down of about 300/400 meters). I think it is suitable for those seeking a place of beautiful sea but that avoids the confusion that occurs in summer. By car you can visit many beautiful beaches within a few kilometers. The house has everything you need: tv / sat, kitchen and tableware, garden furniture outside, parking spaces, two bathrooms with two showers internal and one external, washing machine. There are two bedrooms plus living room with another single bed. The whole house is equipped with mosquito nets. The outside is shaded and you can eat on the patio. The owner and his "handyman " are friendly and helpful.
Villa immersa nel verde, in zona tranquilla e non di passaggio. Discesa a mare in una caletta incantevole anche se non comodissima (bisogna fare qualche sali scendi di circa 300/400 mt). Ritengo sia adatta a chi cerca un posto di mare bello ma che non risenta della confusione che si genera in estate. Con l'auto si possono visitare tante belle spiagge nell'arco di pochi chilometri. La casa ha tutto il necessario: tv/sat, cucina e stoviglie, attrezzatura da giardino esterna, posti auto, due bagni con due docce interne ed una esterna, lavatrice. Ci sono due stanze da letto più il soggiorno con un altro letto singolo. Tutta la casa è dotata di zanzariere. L'esterno è ombreggiato e si può mangiare sotto il patio. Il proprietario ed il suo "tuttofare" sono gentili e disponibili.
House with a spacious living room, furnished with taste, books of various types, a covered terrace that offers great views of the sea, towards the west, ie the sun until late. The location of the house is quiet as it is located on a pedestrian street that connects the historic center of Maratea with the train station and the port. The house, being located just 5 minutes walk from the historic center and 20 minutes from the railway station, is also suitable for those without a car. Casa con un salotto spazioso, arredata con gusto, libri di diverso tipo, una terrazza coperta che offre una vista stupenda sul mare, direzione ovest, cioè col sole fino a tardi. La posizione della casa è tranquilla poiché situata presso una strada pedonale che collega il centro storico di Maratea con la stazione ferroviaria e il porto.
La casa, essendo situata a 5 minuti a piedi dal centro storico e a 20 minuti dalla stazione ferroviaria, si presta anche a chi non è automunito.
Abbiamo fatto delle gite col treno verso Sapri e la costa calabrese e siamo anche saliti in montagna, con uno dei bus locali, dove ci sono delle belle passeggiate a piedi da fare.

Apartment very comfortable, airy, bright, comfortable, spacious, with all the amenities, including good books to read. It is located a short walk from a supermarket, a bank, a butcher and a 'good pastry. Ms Flavia is a very nice person with whom it is a pleasure to have to do. The distance from the sea is exactly that stated. The place is very quiet, in front of 'appartamente there is a pitch where every day there are Apecar with vegetables and fish of the day. Me and my family are widely sofdisfatti.
Appartamento comodissimo, arioso, luminoso, comodo, spazioso, con tutte le comodità, compresi buoni libri da leggere. Si trova a due passi da un supermercato, da una banca, da una macelleria e da un' ottima pasticceria. La sig.ra Flavia è una persona squisita, con cui è un piacere avere a che fare. La distanza dal mare è esattamente quella dichiarata. Il luogo è tranquillissimo , di fronte all' appartamente c'è una piazzola dove tutti i giorni ci sono le Apecar con prodotti ortofrutticoli e ittici di giornata. Io e la mia famiglia siamo ampiamente sofdisfatti.
