Gorgeous cottage- much bigger than it seems-3 good sized bedrooms, huge bathroom, 2 living areas, downstairs shower & loo.... great kitchen & super sheltered outside space.
We know the area well- so just spent our week walking .... the car did not move at all.
The seafood of the area is outstanding and great value... the steam train to St Valerie is a must- get the 11am, have another lovely lunch there and catch the train back- a simple but great day out.
The beach is sandy and clean- huge tidal flow... amazing sunsets
The shopping in Le Crotoy is more than adequate- a good Carrefour and some local speciality shops... and a good market too.
We had a super week ... really relaxing- a total step back to simple stuff.
The lack of internet and reliable phone signal was a bit of annoyance- but only because my husband needed to keep in touch with work... but it didnt bother me or the kids too much.
Martine was very friendly with good communications, she met us at the house at the start and end of our break - made everything so easy

This is a small, bright and clean apartment with lovely terrace overlooking the Somme Bay. It is in a residential area about 20 mins from le Crotoy centre and we didn't find any local shops - best to shop in advance.
I think 4 persons (2 would sleep on sofa bed in main room) would find the space tight. The toilet is on the floor below the large bathroom which is a little inconvenient, particularly negotiating the stairs at night.
I would suggest that the owners should consider upgrading the crockery and cooking utensils which would give a higher rating. Most people choose self catering because they want the flexibility of cooking for themselves rather than using restaurants all the time.
French owned, this is possibly more geared to French holidaymakers. For us, it was an easy drive from Calais and we found some excellent restaurants in the area. The owners were very helpful.
Loved the cottage. It was just around the corner from the beach and not far to the local bakery & supermarket. The owner left lots of information on places to visit. Would stay here again. Had a great week
We were very pleased with this warm and comfortable cottage, which matched the description and photos supplied. The location, overlooking the beach and close to shops and restaurants, is great.
If you decide to rent this property, remember to take sheets, (not duvet covers) towels and large, square pillow cases with you as they are not supplied.
You should also be aware of the need to purchase a parking permit -we understand a weekly permit is available from the Mairie. Offseason, we parked in the courtyard as no-one was occupying the adjacent property but that was just good luck. The courtyard is quite difficult to drive into, however.
The owners were very welcoming and available. Everything was well thought out, down to the toilet paper and paper towels. Very practical for traveling light. We were treated to a welcome basket and recommendations for activities to do. The accommodation offers a superb view. The only negative points: - accommodation not very suitable for a family because it is not spacious. - not suitable when looking for a quiet place, because you can hear cars passing by. You also have to have a deep sleep...very early in the morning, you are woken up by the seagulls and the church.

Tout était bien pensé, jusqu'au papier toilette et essuie-tout. Très pratique pour voyager léger.
Nous avons eu droit à un panier de bienvenue et des recommandations par rapport aux activités à faire.
Le logement offre une superbe vue.
Les seuls points négatifs :
- logement peu adapté pour une famille car il n'est pas spacieux.
- ne convient pas lorsqu'on recherche un endroit au calme, car on entend passer les voitures.
Il faut avoir le sommeil profond également...le matin très tôt, on est réveillé par les mouettes et l'église.
The accommodation is very good, however there is no cold water in the downstairs bathroom (boiling water) and even more detrimental is the inoperative WIFI which was detrimental for 2 people who wanted to work. This observation is all the more regrettable because the previous tenants had reported it and the owner did not do what was necessary to remedy it. Last point, this accommodation is indicated for 8 people and there are only 6 chairs in good condition, those that count are in very poor condition. Please note that the people who take care of reception and departure arrangements are very warm and available.
Le logement est très correct cependant il n'y a pas d'eau froide dans la salle de bain du bas (eau bouillante) et plus préjudiciable encore le WIFI inopérant ce qui a été préjudiciable pour 2 personnes qui souhaitaient travailler. Ce constat est d'autant plus regrettable car les locataires précédents l'avaient signalé et que le propriétaire n'a pas fait le nécessaire pour y remédier. Dernier point ce logement est indiqué pour 8 personnes et il n'y a que 6 chaises en bon état, celles qui font le compte sont en très mauvais état. A noter, que les personnes qui s'occupent des modalités d'accueil et de départ sont très chaleureuses et disponibles.
Contact was very practical and quick with the owner. The place is quiet, parking is easy and free. The rental was spotlessly clean; visibly refurbished and immediately practical, equipped with the necessary equipment for both cooking and cleaning. Excellent layout of the bedrooms, with cupboards, electric shutters. Immediate proximity to the free funicular, which allows you to avoid driving into Le Tréport. Small supermarket nearby. Le contact a été très pratique et rapide avec le propriétaire. L'endroit est calme, le stationnement aisé et gratuit. La location était impeccablement propre; visiblement remise à neuf et immédiatement pratique, dotée du matériel nécessaire tant en cuisine que pour le ménage. Excellent aménagement des chambres, avec placards, volets électriques. Proximité immédiate du funiculaire gratuit, qui permet de ne pas aller en voiture dans Le Tréport. Petite supérette à proximité. Very charming and thoughtful owners. A bottle of sparkling wine had been put in the refrigerator for us. All went well. The rental is really very clean, with a garden and right in the city center with all the amenities. As for parking, the whole town has paid parking, but the owners have nothing to do with it... This is the case in the towns along the Bay of Somme. A daily rate of 5 euros was very useful to us.
Propriétaires très charmants et plein d'intention. Une bouteille de pétillant nous avait été mise au réfrigérateur. Tout c'est bien passé. La location est vraiment très propre, avec un jardin et en plein centre ville avec toutes les commodités.
Pour le stationnement, toute la ville est en stationnement payant, mais les propriétaires n'y sont pour rien... C'est ainsi dans les villes le long de la baie de Somme. Un forfait journalier de 5 euros nous a bien été utile.
The rental is very well located and the equipment is of good quality. The garden is pleasant. The only downside is that the shower cabin is really very small and needs to be modified.

Very nice rental in the town center 200m from the beach in Crotoy. Access to numerous shops and restaurants-bars right next door. LIDL stores in neighboring villages such as Rue or St Valérie sur Somme 10 km ~... Many activities for all tastes and all ages!!! Many beaches more or less close, each more beautiful than the other. Sandy beaches or pebble beaches easily accessible and fantastic! For hikers of all levels, different walks to do! On foot or by bike, the most beautiful wonders await you. Even in rainy weather, it's great! So come to the Bay of Somme, to discover absolutely.. If you are a swimming pool enthusiast, go to DIEPPE - Pools for all, indoor and outdoor... From 7 to 77 years old, the choices are such that there is not enough time to do everything! Holidays are always too short, and in the Bay of Somme, it's real! From castles, museums, and others, to parks, beaches or swimming pools, games for the youngest, various local events all summer long... Adream, a paradise to discover!

A pieds ou en vélo, les plus belles merveilles vous attendent.
Même par temps pluvieux, c'est extra !
Alors venez dans la Baie de Somme, à découvrir absolument..
Si vous êtes amateurs de piscine, allez à DIEPPE - Bassins pour tous, intérieurs et extérieurs...
De "7 à 77 ans", les choix sont tel qu'il n'y a pas assez de temps pour tout faire !
Les vacances c'est toujours trop court, et bien dans la Baie de Somme, c'est du concret !
Des châteaux, musées, et autres, aux parcs, des plages ou piscines, des jeux pour les plus jeunes, des animations locales diverses et variées tout l Été...
Un rêve, un paradis à découvrir !

A warm and very clean house, remarkably placed and quiet, with an adorable little garden sheltered from the wind. We had a great week there and will be very happy to come back, especially since the owners are charming and we thank them for their friendly welcome: thank you for the flowers, for the little buns and the 2 birthday candles for our little blond ??
Une maison chaleureuse et très propre, remarquablement placée et au calme, avec en plus un petit jardin adorable et abrité du vent.
