The chalet is about 12 km. from Aosta and 3 km. from Pila but we are just 400 meter from the “Plan Praz” resort by the Aosta- Pila cable car.
In winter you can ski down from the house to the cable car station and then you can go up to Pila by cable car (about 4 minutes) or down to Aosta (less than 15 minutes). From Pila you can ski down to the house.
Depending on how much snow there is and the kind of car you have, you can park your car in front of the chalet or in a parking lot along the Aosta-Pila road, the house being about 200 meters away.
In the end, we are actually on the ski slopes, but away from the car and skier traffic in Pila, and, most important, you can avoid using the car.

We had an amazing week in the chalet. We were able to ski down to the gondola and ski back to the chalet through the trees(our children 9 and 6 after a few days). The chalet was lovely and Giorgio was very welcoming and helpful. Took us to Aosta to buy snow chains! Hope to return in the future, we loved it!
