Very good Chalet, we rented the house during the winter and due to the recent snowfall we were able to ski from the house to the ski lift (and even from the piste to the house, though this requires a fairly substantial descend off-piste). The owners were responsive in their communication and were able to offer us a discount on our skipasses. Overall we had a very nice stay!
Every now and then you get lucky and find an amazing home-from-home rental accommodation. Trust me, this is one of those 5* gems! Where do I start?
Clearly Marc & Patricia have put an enormous amount of thought and effort into making this chalet a home with everything you could possibly want. I believe this chalet was recently renovated during 2021 and so everything feels new.
The kitchen is truly well equipped…plenty of large and small plates, bowls, cutlery, glasses (both wine glasses and flutes, tumblers and pint glasses), mugs, cups, cooking utensils, pots and pans, to cater for ‘WELL OVER’ 12 people (we were 8, so plenty to spare). There is a dishwasher and also both a Fondue and Raclette set for those adventurous cooks, oh….and a sandwich toaster. Also provided is a Nespresso machine…we took our coffee pods but I believe you can buy pods in Tignes Le Lac if you forget to take your own. Our favourite kitchen device however was the table top ice maker…. perfect for that G&T after a hard day on the slopes!
The chalet has 4 large bedrooms all with en-suite with plenty of storage space. The beds were very comfortable. Three of the bedrooms have additional beds - two of those bedrooms having slightly smaller mattresses large enough for say a 13/14 year old depending on their height.
The lounge has plenty of comfortable seating and a huge dining table overlooking the enormous outside terrace and the beautiful views across the lake to Val Claret and the mountain beyond. The lounge has an open fire and plenty of wood to burn is supplied. The lounge also has a Bluetooth speaker to connect your own devices to (we hard wired our mobile phones as we couldn’t figure out the Bluetooth connection after a few glasses of wine!! Likely it was the wine which affected our senses than the speaker itself, so I’m sure anyone that’s tech savvy would be able to figure it out and if not, Marc is always available to help!). The lounge is also equipped with a smart TV and DVD and also has the ability to connect up a laptop.
The outside terrace is huge and we were lucky enough to bask in glorious sunshine for 4 days out of the 6 when we returned from the slopes. There is an outside BBQ (gas I think) and Wood Burner that unfortunately we didn’t get to try, but great as an option should you wish to use them.
There is plenty of WIFI throughout the chalet and not once did anyone moan about poor connectivity….not even when all 8 of us were on our devices!!
The chalet has it’s own private cinema room and sauna (for use solely by the occupants of this chalet…i.e. not shared with anyone) – additional towels are provided for the sauna. The cinema room has great surround-sound and you can connect to pretty much anything…Apple TV, Netflix, Prime, Disney, your own laptop and there are plenty of DVDs to choose from in the chalet should you not want to bring your own.
The chalet has its own private (not shared) boot warmer and ski rack, enough for at least 12 sets, conveniently positioned inside the chalet by the front door.
The owners Marc and Patricia are extremely welcoming and friendly. They are very close by should you need anything. Should you arrive in Tignes early before check-in or leave Tignes later after check-out, they will try and be as flexible as possible but if it’s not possible you can safely store your luggage in Marc and Patricia’s locked garage and head into town.
The walk into town where the ski schools meet takes no more than 5 minutes. Here you’ll also find a great supermarket with plenty of choice as well as plenty of restaurants nearby (I suggest you book 3-4 days in advance in peak season).

Great house, everything was available what we could wish for. Just a few minutes walking to the lifts, apres ski, supermarkets and restaurants. Super friendly staff who can recommend a great amount of apres ski places and restaurants, which were really good.
Communication was slow from time to time, however as I have understood this was because of personal circumstances, which is very understandable.
In short, we had a great time and can greatly recommend this house!
A lovely chalet in a great location. Ski-in and ski-out, but not for complete beginners.

We were 5 youngsters and 2 adults that had a wonderfull sommer vacation in Tignes. The apartment is very nice with lots of space where everything just works - also wifi. It has a excellent location towards all the sommer activities and we can highly recommend this apartment.
Excellent stay. House really well prepared, with extense space. Everything worked as expected. We recommend it specially for families wishing to enjoy a good skiing week.
Bedroom accomodation was excellent although there was no mention in advert of reduced headroom upstairs particularly in the Bathroom. Living accomodation and kitchen was a bit small to cook for 11 but ok (We are probably unusual in not eating out very much). A few problems with electrics but nothing to spoil the holiday. Position wise it was brilliant, right by ski lift and only a 2 minute walk to the man part of town. All in all a good apartment.
Charming chalet, ideal for 2 families. Very good equipped. Exceptional views. Right in front of the ski slopes which allows skiing from and to the chalet. Enough space to store / dry the ski equipment. Just keep in mind 300 meters that you have to carry luggage, food stuff etc. from parking to the chalet in winter times. Anyway: We´ll be back soon!
This property is perfect for 2 families who know each other very well. We went with my sister and her family. The 5 teenagers 13-18yrs were happy sharing the mezzanine room (double, bunk and sofa-bed) though it was rather cramped, and messy as there was extremely limited storage for clothes etc!This room is up steep narrow stairs and is above, and open to, the living room. Off this upstairs room are one double bedroom with low ceiling, and one bathroom with bath and loo. The downstairs loo is separate from the bathroom. There is also a reasonable double bedroom downstairs. The kitchen area is tiny but well equipped and we had no difficulty catering for 9. It is simply but comfortably furnished and there are games and TV/DVD player.
The apartment is ideally located on the slope. The balcony overlooks the ski-school meeting area and the first lift is literally a stones throw away. The well stocked local shop and bars etc are also very close but there was never a problem with noise.
Only minor drawbacks were parking which is in the public open car park (free) and seems rather oversubscribed! Once you have found a space, keep it!!
Ski storage, in the ground floor ski room locker, is totally inadequate - room for about 3 sets of skis only, but there was no problem in taking skis up to the apartment and keeping them on the balcony. Also some minor problems with the curtains but I hope these have now been fixed.
We have rented this apartment christmas week and had a fantastic time.
The apartment was clean and spacious for our party of 4 adults and 3 children, ages 9, 7 and 6 years (1st time skiers!). All the facilities required for self catering were available and the views were amazing. Great position, ski to door, equipment hire and shop opposite the entrance. The resort was very pretty and picturesque.
Not commercialised so lacked in facilities for the non skier but if you are looking for a quiet, french experience away from the hussle and bussle of other resorts then this is definately the place.
Good communication with the owner and value for money.
We will definitely be returning.

We had an excellent stay in this human-sized resort. The accommodation perfectly matched our expectations and the detailed description provided by the owner with whom we were able to communicate and exchange regularly; which was a real pleasure. We will most likely come back whether in winter or summer!

The kitchen is relatively small for accommodation designed for 12 people. The chalet is not really close to the ski lifts which take you to the Arrondaz plateau (departure from the ski schools and the Piou Piou club). When there are young children with the shoes and equipment it is a bit complicated. We discovered at the end of the stay that there was a free locker in the village to drop off equipment at the end of the day. It might be interesting to point this out in the advert, it can be very useful when there are children. The return to the chalet will be made easier.
La cuisine est relativement petite pour un logement prévu pour 12 personnes. Le chalet n'est pas vraiment proche des remontées mécaniques qui permettent de monter au plateau d'Arrondaz (départ des écoles de ski et du club Piou Piou). Quand il y a de jeunes enfants avec les chaussures et le matériel cela est un peu compliqué. Nous avons découvert à la fin du séjour qu'il y avait dans le village une consigne gratuite pour déposer le matériel en fin de journée. Il serait peut-être intéressant de le signaler dans l'annonce, cela peut être très utile quand il y a des enfants. La remontée vers le chalet en sera facilitée..
