Every now and then you get lucky and find an amazing home-from-home rental accommodation. Trust me, this is one of those 5* gems! Where do I start?
Clearly Marc & Patricia have put an enormous amount of thought and effort into making this chalet a home with everything you could possibly want. I believe this chalet was recently renovated during 2021 and so everything feels new.
The kitchen is truly well equipped…plenty of large and small plates, bowls, cutlery, glasses (both wine glasses and flutes, tumblers and pint glasses), mugs, cups, cooking utensils, pots and pans, to cater for ‘WELL OVER’ 12 people (we were 8, so plenty to spare). There is a dishwasher and also both a Fondue and Raclette set for those adventurous cooks, oh….and a sandwich toaster. Also provided is a Nespresso machine…we took our coffee pods but I believe you can buy pods in Tignes Le Lac if you forget to take your own. Our favourite kitchen device however was the table top ice maker…. perfect for that G&T after a hard day on the slopes!
The chalet has 4 large bedrooms all with en-suite with plenty of storage space. The beds were very comfortable. Three of the bedrooms have additional beds - two of those bedrooms having slightly smaller mattresses large enough for say a 13/14 year old depending on their height.
The lounge has plenty of comfortable seating and a huge dining table overlooking the enormous outside terrace and the beautiful views across the lake to Val Claret and the mountain beyond. The lounge has an open fire and plenty of wood to burn is supplied. The lounge also has a Bluetooth speaker to connect your own devices to (we hard wired our mobile phones as we couldn’t figure out the Bluetooth connection after a few glasses of wine!! Likely it was the wine which affected our senses than the speaker itself, so I’m sure anyone that’s tech savvy would be able to figure it out and if not, Marc is always available to help!). The lounge is also equipped with a smart TV and DVD and also has the ability to connect up a laptop.
The outside terrace is huge and we were lucky enough to bask in glorious sunshine for 4 days out of the 6 when we returned from the slopes. There is an outside BBQ (gas I think) and Wood Burner that unfortunately we didn’t get to try, but great as an option should you wish to use them.
There is plenty of WIFI throughout the chalet and not once did anyone moan about poor connectivity….not even when all 8 of us were on our devices!!
The chalet has it’s own private cinema room and sauna (for use solely by the occupants of this chalet…i.e. not shared with anyone) – additional towels are provided for the sauna. The cinema room has great surround-sound and you can connect to pretty much anything…Apple TV, Netflix, Prime, Disney, your own laptop and there are plenty of DVDs to choose from in the chalet should you not want to bring your own.
The chalet has its own private (not shared) boot warmer and ski rack, enough for at least 12 sets, conveniently positioned inside the chalet by the front door.
The owners Marc and Patricia are extremely welcoming and friendly. They are very close by should you need anything. Should you arrive in Tignes early before check-in or leave Tignes later after check-out, they will try and be as flexible as possible but if it’s not possible you can safely store your luggage in Marc and Patricia’s locked garage and head into town.
The walk into town where the ski schools meet takes no more than 5 minutes. Here you’ll also find a great supermarket with plenty of choice as well as plenty of restaurants nearby (I suggest you book 3-4 days in advance in peak season).

The property is completely in line with the description, the owners are exceptionally kind and allowed us to spend a dream week in a magnificent setting. The rental services are of very good quality and provide immediate comfort! I highly recommend. ?? We looked for points of improvement: large orangeade glasses would be a plus and one or 2 sharp kitchen knives. That's really all we could find ...;) Thanks again to Marc and Patricia. Nous avons cherché des points d’amélioration: du grand verres à orangeade seraient un plus et un ou 2 couteaux de cuisine aiguisés. C'est vraiment tout ce qu’on a pu trouver... ;)

Superb chalet, spacious and very well equipped (everything needed for 12, but with little bonuses that count like games, reading...). Ideal for a group of friends who want to get together in peace. Very pleasant terrace with a magnificent view of the mountains and the valley.
Superbe chalet, spacieux et très bien équipé (tout le nécessaire pour 12, mais avec des petits bonus qui comptent comme des jeux, de la lecture...). Idéal pour un groupe d'amis qui souhaitent se retrouver en toute tranquillité. Terrasse fortement agréable avec une vue magnifique sur les montagne et la vallée.

This rental has totally met our expectations. The little extra, on the 2nd floor, a space dedicated to children with its small furnished living room and its 4 beds. Ideal for family vacations. Calm and walks from the chalet. ++ the wood-burning fireplace for the evenings .... and the grills. To recommend even if skiing was not on the agenda this year.

Chalet ideally located with a magnificent view of the massif, absolute calm. Impeccable interior from all points of view, very good bedding. Discussions with the owner and the La Clé d'or agency are always simple and cordial, everything is well organized.

I recommend the chalet of Ms. Céline P., which is consistent with the photos, warm and above all well equipped, functional and suitable for several families, for an exceptional holiday, this was our case. Je recommande le chalet de Mme Céline P., qui est conforme aux photos, chaleureux et surtout bien équipé, fonctionnel et adapté pour plusieurs familles, pour passer des vacances exceptionnelles, ce fut notre cas. Sans oublier une vue panoramique époustouflante.
La disponibilité et la gentillesse de la propriétaire sont un bonus, non négligeable qui se perd de nos jours.
Reste toujours à l'écoute tout le long de notre séjour.

Chalet very nice and well equipped. You have to love being a bit isolated and car necessary, but the comfort of this warm chalet more than makes up for this inconvenience.
Chalet très agréable et bien équipé. Il faut aimer être un peu isolé et voiture nécessaire, mais le confort de ce chalet chaleureux compensent largement cet inconvénient.
This is the fourth time that we rent this cottage and it is always with so much pleasure. The bathrooms and bathrooms have been renovated. Chalet always very well equipped, very quiet. You have to take the car to go skiing (12 min - the big parking of the chairlift Pre Saint Esprit under Arcs 1950 was removed but we always found the place to park) but back to ski possible by a nice way in the firs.
C'est la quatrième fois que nous louons ce chalet et c'est toujours avec autant de plaisir. Les sanitaires et les salles de bains ont été rénovés. Chalet toujours très bien équipé, très au calme.
Il faut prendre la voiture pour aller skier (12 min- le grand parking du télésiège de Pré Saint Esprit sous Arcs 1950 a été supprimé mais nous avons toujours trouvé de la place pour se garer) mais retour à ski possible par un joli chemin dans les sapins.

Home perfectly suited for family occupation (we were 12 family) or friends, on the slopes ... Almost complete facilities, as real as furniture. Departure and return skis within 10m of the house ... Different lift a hundred meters ... Main shops within 250m, bakery and the largest supermarket about 500m ... The current project of the Owner to further improve the insulation of windows and doors, as well as the quality of some bedding, will only improve the quality of this location! I would recommend it without restriction, including for the summer (if you have filled the whole house ...), the price / quality ratio is really appreciated! Marcel PORTERET 02/24/2015
Maison parfaitement adaptée à une occupation familiale (nous étions 12, en famille) ou entre amis, sur les pistes...
Equipements quasiment complets, tant immobiliers que mobiliers.
Départ et retour skis aux pieds à moins de 10m de la maison...
Départs des remontées mécaniques à une centaine de mètres...
Principaux commerces à moins de 250m, la boulangerie et la plus grosse supérette à environ 500m...
Le projet en cours de la Propriétaire pour améliorer encore l'isolation des baies et portes, ainsi que la qualité de quelques literies, ne fera que parfaire la qualité de cette location !
Je la conseillerai sans restriction, y compris pour l'été (à condition de remplir totalement la maison...), le rapport qualité/prix étant réellement appréciable !

We had a pleasant stay at the chalet. Nice residence for large families or friends. The chalet is very wide and the second floor can be used as a playroom for children. Only 5 minutes from the first station arcs. Very quiet ... snow tires mandatory on the road if we châlet not access! Very easy exchanges with the owner. Recommend ..
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour au châlet. Chouette lieu de résidence pour les grandes familles ou entre amis. Le châlet est très vaste et le deuxième étage peut servir de salle de jeux pour les enfants.
A seulement 5mn de la première station des arcs.
Environnement très calme...pneus neiges obligatoires sur la route du châlet sinon on accède pas! Echanges très faciles avec le proprio. A recommander..
We spent a wonderful week at the Chalet Arconcel. Very well equipped, spacious and very well heated, with a splendid view. This cottage is ideal for family holidays (large) or friends. Children have a space on the 2nd floor very well equipped.
Nous avons passé une excellente semaine au Chalet l'Arconcel. Très bien équipé, très spacieux et parfaitement bien chauffé, avec une vue splendide. Ce chalet est idéal pour des vacances en famille (nombreuse) ou entre amis. Les enfants disposent d'un espace au 2ème étage très bien aménagé.
Lovely house, beautiful location. But 5 minutes to Arc 1600 with the car. Everything was fine, and the landlord was friendly and always responded quickly to email. The fireplace was wonderful and made the whole house warm and cozy. Lovely beds. The deposit of ? 1000, - I found it too high and it took a very long time before we got refunded. Everything else so fine and well cared for.
Prachtig huis, mooi gelegen. Maar 5 minuutjes naar Arc 1600 met de auto. Alles was prima in orde, en de verhuurder was aardig en reageerde steeds snel op mail. De open haard was heerlijk en maakte het hele huis knus en gezellig. Heerlijke bedden. De borg van € 1000,- vond ik wel te hoog en het duurde heel erg lang voordat we dat teruggestort kregen.
Verder alles dus prima in orde en goed verzorgd.
