Our stay at this lovely Barfleur home was perfect for us! There was plenty of room for our family of seven to sleep comfortably. The home was very clean and well stocked with all the supplies that we needed, and was situated across from the beautiful harbour and just down the street from the town, which had several wonderful restaurants and shops. Valerie was extremely helpful in setting up our stay and making sure that we were greeted upon arrival on our first day. The best part for us was the serenity of the location! Our stay was quiet and peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the city life that we normally live. We enjoyed putting together a jigsaw puzzle, walking along the harbour, and eating in the local restaurants, which were delicious. The home was absolutely charming and impeccably kept up. We will definitely stay there again when we return to France. The only issue for us was the distance from the American Cemetery in Colville-Sur-Mer. We were not prepared for the long drive, but at this time of year, it’s difficult to find any accommodations in Normandy so we were grateful to have a place to stay which was able to accommodate our large family. Having found Barfleur, we now see it’s charm and would definitely stay there again. One other note: this property is not set up for anyone with disabilities other than on the first floor. There is a bedroom on the first floor and a bathroom on the first floor but otherwise all of the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the second and third floors with no lift. Very nice house and nice landlords! Beautiful, spacious rooms with private bathrooms. Nice beds and bed linen. We had a great time! The only downside is that the boiler is not designed for such a large group, despite a short shower. Something should be done about this, as is evident from previous reviews.

Enige minpunt is dat de boiler niet is berekend op een dergelijke grote groep, ondanks kort douchen. Hier zou wat aan gedaan moeten worden, blijkt ook al uit eerdere recensies.
The accommodation is very good, however there is no cold water in the downstairs bathroom (boiling water) and even more detrimental is the inoperative WIFI which was detrimental for 2 people who wanted to work. This observation is all the more regrettable because the previous tenants had reported it and the owner did not do what was necessary to remedy it. Last point, this accommodation is indicated for 8 people and there are only 6 chairs in good condition, those that count are in very poor condition. Please note that the people who take care of reception and departure arrangements are very warm and available.
Le logement est très correct cependant il n'y a pas d'eau froide dans la salle de bain du bas (eau bouillante) et plus préjudiciable encore le WIFI inopérant ce qui a été préjudiciable pour 2 personnes qui souhaitaient travailler. Ce constat est d'autant plus regrettable car les locataires précédents l'avaient signalé et que le propriétaire n'a pas fait le nécessaire pour y remédier. Dernier point ce logement est indiqué pour 8 personnes et il n'y a que 6 chaises en bon état, celles qui font le compte sont en très mauvais état. A noter, que les personnes qui s'occupent des modalités d'accueil et de départ sont très chaleureuses et disponibles.
We had a very good stay in this very well equipped cottage, perhaps a little dark in winter! there is space in the living areas, but we would have preferred the television to be in the living room area. our hosts gave us several welcome gifts, thank you to them, and good luck! we will probably come back as a family with the grandchildren, and rather on sunny days to take advantage of the outdoor facilities!
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans ce gite très bien équipé , peut-être un peu sombre en hiver ! il y a de l'espace dans les pièces à vivre, mais nous aurions préféré que la télévision soit dans la partie salon.
nos hôtes nous ont offert plusieurs cadeaux d'accueil merci à eux , et bonne continuation ! nous reviendrons probablement en famille avec les petits enfants, et plutôt aux beaux jours afin de profiter des aménagements extérieurs !
Very nice house, well equipped, close to shops and the sea. We had a pleasant stay with the family. The owner is very welcoming and attentive to tenants. We were in Agon the week of Storm Ciaran, with one day without power. The owner took care of us. I thank Mr B. for his honesty regarding the amount of electricity revised downwards for the inconvenience suffered by the storm. I recommend this rental for a good family time.
Très belle maison, bien équipé, proche des commerces et de la mer. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour en famille. Le propriétaire est très accueillant et à l'écoute des locataires. Nous étions à Agon la semaine de la tempête Ciaran, avec une journée sans électricité. Le propriétaire a pris soin de nous. Je remercie Mr B. pour son honnêteté concernant le montant de l'électricité revu à la baisse pour les désagréments subis par la tempête. Je recommande cette location pour passer un bon moment familial.
Contact was very practical and quick with the owner. The place is quiet, parking is easy and free. The rental was spotlessly clean; visibly refurbished and immediately practical, equipped with the necessary equipment for both cooking and cleaning. Excellent layout of the bedrooms, with cupboards, electric shutters. Immediate proximity to the free funicular, which allows you to avoid driving into Le Tréport. Small supermarket nearby. Spacious house suitable for our group of 10 people, very practical in use and well equipped for everyday life. The rooms are correct, the bathrooms too, it's an old but clean house, the floors creak a little. Its location on the quays of Barfleur is a plus.

In the area you can easily do your shopping, take beautiful nature walks, enjoy the nearby Normandy coast and all kinds of historical locations (including Bayeux and the landing beaches). Ruime, zeer goed verzorgde en sfeervolle gite, waar we met veel plezier vakantie hebben gevierd. In de omgeving kun je makkelijk boodschappen doen, mooie natuurwandelingen maken, genieten van de nabijgelegen Normandische kust en allerlei historische locaties (o.a. Bayeux en de invasiestranden). Very nice cottage, pleasant and quiet place. The owners are very accommodating and respond quickly to any information.
The cottage is very pleasant, 3 double beds, 4 single beds, 2 bathrooms with bath for a moment of relaxation, a washing machine. Household robots for the kitchen, board games. And even wifi access.
The town is close to the coast, 12 minutes from Honfleur with its Saturday morning market which is very pleasant to do. Deauville 15 minutes away. A bakery and pharmacy 3 minutes by car from the gîte. The land of the gîte is also a very good little place for outdoor games, badminton volleyball net, ping-pong table and pétanque court.
The children had a very good holiday and we appreciate the environment of the gîte. I highly recommend .
Très chouette gîte , lieu agréable et calme . Les propriétaires sont très conciliant et répondent rapidement en cas renseignement .
Le gîte est très agréable , 3 lits de deux pers , 4 lits d’une personne , 2salle de bain avec baignoire pour un moment détente , un machine à laver . Des robots ménagers pour la cuisine , des jeux de société . Et même un accès wifi.
La ville est proche de la côte , 12 minutes de Honfleur avec son marché le samedi matin qui est très agréable à faire . Deauville a 15 minutes . Une boulangerie et pharmacie à 3minute en voiture du gîte . Le terrain du gîte est aussi très bien petit lieu de jeux extérieur , filet volley badminton, table de ping-pong et terrain de pétanque .
Les enfants ont passé de très bonne vacances et on apprécie l’environnement du gîte . Je recommande fortement .

Very nice family house, with large living room on the ground floor + 1 bedroom, and bathrooms with toilets on all levels (3). Well equipped and heated, ideally located, quiet although central in Barfleur, small garden perfect for a dog. The reception and the departure are made in excellent conditions. We had a great vacation with 9 people.

Very nice house with lots of charm. A place where it is good to meet up with family or friends. We loved the proximity to the beach and the family home atmosphere which allowed us to feel quickly at ease and without stress.. Weekend to redo without problem
