This year we explored the area with our bikes. There is a beautiful bike path to the south, we crossed Messanges, Vieux-Boucau to Hossegor (32 km) and spent the day in the cafes. Captain Bar de Vieux-Boucau, with a terrace on the beach, is also recommended.
Also by bike we went to the lake in Leon. From here you can take the boat along the Courant d'Huchet. Espelette (origin of the Espelette pepper) and Bayonne + Biarritz are beautiful destinations by car.
