Each advert indicates one or two of the following payment methods: "Direct to owner", "Through MediaHols.com" (see information below).

If the advert offers two payment methods, you may agree with the owner whichever is most suitable.

Advert with compulsory payment "Through MediaHols.com"

If the advert states payment only "Through MediaHols.com ", this is the only payment method available. You must ensure that you bookexclusively using the button "Make this booking" on the discussion page with the owner and not use any other payment method.

If this method of payment is shown on the advert, the booking and the payment are made directly with the owner, who will give you the opportunity to pay by cheque or bank transfer, or even cash (and/or Chèques-Vacances in France). In most cases, the owner will also send a rental contract.

MediaHols.com has not registered any fraud in over 5 years thanks to the security measures we have in place. However, should you have a doubt about an advert, or if the owner offers another method of payment aside from those stated above, or suggests payment into a bank account registered in a country other than their home country or that of the rental property, contact us.

If this method of payment is stated on the advert, the payment and reservation take place via MediaHols.com thanks to the " Secure Payment " service. Once you have made an agreement with the owner, access to your booking will be available from the discussion page within the MediaHols.com secure mailbox.

Secure payments "Through MediaHols.com"

Payment "Through MediaHols.com" is perfectly secure, upon the condition that payments are made on the platform.

For all "Through MediaHols.com" payments, ensure that you only pay by using the "Reserve this property" button accessible on the discussion with the owner page. This button should direct you to the https://pay.MediaHols.com site

Do not accept any link sent via SMS text message or email, or one that has not come through the discussion page in your MediaHols.com secure mailbox.

  1. Display of the booking button in the discussion page with the owner

    When the owner has approved and defined the rental conditions of your booking, a "Reserve this property" button will appear within the discussion page that you share with the owner. You will be informed via an email from pay@mediahols.com, as well as an SMS from " MediaVac ".

  2. Deposit payment and booking

    The " Reserve this property " button allows you to accept the booking and pay the deposit (25% of the total) with a bank card. The booking is the confirmed and the rental period is blocked in the advert's rental calendar.

    NB: If the booking is made less than 30 days before the start date, the full payment will be due.

  3. Sending of the rental contract

    Once the reservation is made, a PDF rental contract, signed by both parties (bilingual if you and the owner speak different languages), will be sent to you via email.

  4. Access to the booking and cancellation

    You will keep permanent access to the booking and its status using the "See booking form" button on the secure mailbox discussion page. In the case of a cancellation, you must use this access to cancel the rental according to the conditions defined in the contract.

  5. Balance payment

    The final balance (75% of the total) is automatically taken from your bank card 30 days prior to the start of the rental.

  6. Transfer to the owner

    The transferred amounts are held in a escrow account dedicated to your booking. If no problems are declared, the funds are transferred to the owner three days after the start of the rental.
