Every now and then you get lucky and find an amazing home-from-home rental accommodation. Trust me, this is one of those 5* gems! Where do I start?
Clearly Marc & Patricia have put an enormous amount of thought and effort into making this chalet a home with everything you could possibly want. I believe this chalet was recently renovated during 2021 and so everything feels new.
The kitchen is truly well equipped…plenty of large and small plates, bowls, cutlery, glasses (both wine glasses and flutes, tumblers and pint glasses), mugs, cups, cooking utensils, pots and pans, to cater for ‘WELL OVER’ 12 people (we were 8, so plenty to spare). There is a dishwasher and also both a Fondue and Raclette set for those adventurous cooks, oh….and a sandwich toaster. Also provided is a Nespresso machine…we took our coffee pods but I believe you can buy pods in Tignes Le Lac if you forget to take your own. Our favourite kitchen device however was the table top ice maker…. perfect for that G&T after a hard day on the slopes!
The chalet has 4 large bedrooms all with en-suite with plenty of storage space. The beds were very comfortable. Three of the bedrooms have additional beds - two of those bedrooms having slightly smaller mattresses large enough for say a 13/14 year old depending on their height.
The lounge has plenty of comfortable seating and a huge dining table overlooking the enormous outside terrace and the beautiful views across the lake to Val Claret and the mountain beyond. The lounge has an open fire and plenty of wood to burn is supplied. The lounge also has a Bluetooth speaker to connect your own devices to (we hard wired our mobile phones as we couldn’t figure out the Bluetooth connection after a few glasses of wine!! Likely it was the wine which affected our senses than the speaker itself, so I’m sure anyone that’s tech savvy would be able to figure it out and if not, Marc is always available to help!). The lounge is also equipped with a smart TV and DVD and also has the ability to connect up a laptop.
The outside terrace is huge and we were lucky enough to bask in glorious sunshine for 4 days out of the 6 when we returned from the slopes. There is an outside BBQ (gas I think) and Wood Burner that unfortunately we didn’t get to try, but great as an option should you wish to use them.
There is plenty of WIFI throughout the chalet and not once did anyone moan about poor connectivity….not even when all 8 of us were on our devices!!
The chalet has it’s own private cinema room and sauna (for use solely by the occupants of this chalet…i.e. not shared with anyone) – additional towels are provided for the sauna. The cinema room has great surround-sound and you can connect to pretty much anything…Apple TV, Netflix, Prime, Disney, your own laptop and there are plenty of DVDs to choose from in the chalet should you not want to bring your own.
The chalet has its own private (not shared) boot warmer and ski rack, enough for at least 12 sets, conveniently positioned inside the chalet by the front door.
The owners Marc and Patricia are extremely welcoming and friendly. They are very close by should you need anything. Should you arrive in Tignes early before check-in or leave Tignes later after check-out, they will try and be as flexible as possible but if it’s not possible you can safely store your luggage in Marc and Patricia’s locked garage and head into town.
The walk into town where the ski schools meet takes no more than 5 minutes. Here you’ll also find a great supermarket with plenty of choice as well as plenty of restaurants nearby (I suggest you book 3-4 days in advance in peak season).

This was a very comfortable apartment with wonderful views and conveniently placed. It had all the modern comforts we required.
The only slight difficulties for us were the translation of French instructions into English, the transfer of euros and perhaps needing to have more explained to us on arrival, such as the directions to the pool and how to find the internet password. ( we should have worked harder at our French language studies at school I suppose.) It was a very quick introduction when we arrived.
We would be very happy to rent this apartment again and the owners were very helpful with the initial booking.

Thanks to Véronique and the family for a perfect ski holiday, a super accommodation, situate right at the slopes. Close to a little mini market and ski rental. Everything was as expected and acording to the contract.
Véronique was easy to reach by email and answered very quickly.
It's possible to buy cleaning - 90 euros.

The kitchen was very well equiped, with lots of stuff you need.
Enough space for 6 adults.
Supermarket and rent for ski's just outside the apartment.

Lovely apartment in an excellent location in Vallandry - just across the path from the ski lift and ski school area. The apartment itself was clean, warm and well laid out - plenty of room for 5 adults. We will definitely consider staying here again.
Very nice, modern and perfectly well equipped apartment, it was even better than expected! Nice large couch. We used the low terrace chairs inside so that we had a comfortable reading chair for everyone. Perfect location, ski out/ski in. Enough space for 6 adults (the cabin was of course a little small for 2 almost 2m tall guys... but they knew on forehand and slept well). We loved our stay here. Communication with owner was good.
We were 5 youngsters and 2 adults that had a wonderfull sommer vacation in Tignes. The apartment is very nice with lots of space where everything just works - also wifi. It has a excellent location towards all the sommer activities and we can highly recommend this apartment.
A small but good standard apartment located close to the slopes, and within easy walk of the village centre. Everything is clean and well looked after. Suitable for a family with small children as long as you don't expect lots of room.
Very cosy and warm. We had a lovely stay. There is no wifi in the apartment but I had good access to roaming data. Parking is not included in the price but is available nearby for around €90 a week. The gondolas are really close by and you can ski right back to the balcony. I would definitely come back again.
A lovely apartment in a wonderful spot in this lovely family resort. The chalet is very well cared for and maintained and the facilities are perfect for what we want. A stroll down to the chair lifts and great restaurants within walking distance. We love it!
Really nice apartment in traditional Savoire style. Exceptionally well equipped with just about everything you could think of. Close to town and slopes. Free parking on road outside. Very comfortable.
A lovely apartment in a great location in Valmorel. Easy access to the piste and just a short walk away from the supermarket and the main street in the centre of the town. There were four of us in our party and we found the apartment to be very comfortable and well furnished. We had a very enjoyable stay and a great weeks skiing. We will hopefully be back next year!
This was a fantastic property - lovely, well equipped kitchen, spacious (especially as we rented as 4 people so there was a spare room) and great views from the balcony. The owner was very responsive and helpful, and we were met and welcomed when we arrived - everyone very helpful and friendly. The appartment is close to the 'Morel' ski lift, a supermarket and also bus stop for the navette down to the main ski area in Meribel, so it's a great location.
Comfortable, spacious and clean apartment in an ideal situation for the ski slopes, shops and bars. The owner was very helpful and friendly. We would not hesitate to use this apartment again if we return to Arc 2000.
Very suitable accommodation for our group of 4 people.
Advertised as suitable for 6 people, this would be very confined if all adults, all amenities as described, shower is only a hand held shower, not fixed to wall, nuisance to use.
We would rent again as ideal position.
Overall very well equipped apartment. We stayed with 2 adults and 2 children and it worked out very well. For 6 people it might be a little tight. Location-wise it is conveniently located next to ski slopes. ski-in / ski-out!

This property is perfect for 2 families who know each other very well. We went with my sister and her family. The 5 teenagers 13-18yrs were happy sharing the mezzanine room (double, bunk and sofa-bed) though it was rather cramped, and messy as there was extremely limited storage for clothes etc!This room is up steep narrow stairs and is above, and open to, the living room. Off this upstairs room are one double bedroom with low ceiling, and one bathroom with bath and loo. The downstairs loo is separate from the bathroom. There is also a reasonable double bedroom downstairs. The kitchen area is tiny but well equipped and we had no difficulty catering for 9. It is simply but comfortably furnished and there are games and TV/DVD player.
The apartment is ideally located on the slope. The balcony overlooks the ski-school meeting area and the first lift is literally a stones throw away. The well stocked local shop and bars etc are also very close but there was never a problem with noise.
Only minor drawbacks were parking which is in the public open car park (free) and seems rather oversubscribed! Once you have found a space, keep it!!
Ski storage, in the ground floor ski room locker, is totally inadequate - room for about 3 sets of skis only, but there was no problem in taking skis up to the apartment and keeping them on the balcony. Also some minor problems with the curtains but I hope these have now been fixed.
Very convenient cozy appartment suitable for a family with children (or without, as it was quite comfortable for 4 adults as well :).
Although it might take a little walk to a chair-lift, the return from slopes can be made on ski to the very entrance.
Don't forget linen with you, otherwise it can be rented at a Sports-shop nearby, which is not a problem, (towels are sold at "Sherpa").
Kitchen appliances are fine and enough for a comfortable stay.
There was no Wi-Fi available (if it was, we would happily pay for it), but in general, the appartment is great value for money.
